My boyfriend just bought these for me. I am always hiking into the Olympic Hot Springs (and other various trails with water crossings)but my feet usually slip around in my sandals when I cross water. I LOVE these! If you want stability in and out of the water without having to worry about chaffing, hot spots or breaking in, these are for you. I have quite wide feet and these are perfect. It was so enjoyable crossing the water several times this past week (the hot springs trail)without the sandals leaving my feet - they hold my feet in place and I didn't slip once. I couldn't stop thanking him - these are seriously the best gift ever, and I would recommend these to everyone!

I love these particular Tevas for kayaking and walking around because the straps have a backing where "hot spots" might ordinarily occur. They're quite wide and despite my very wide, pudgy feet, I had to go down a size. However, I love the three-point adjustment, and they're incredibly sturdy and grippy for walking on slick algae-covered surfaces when I go on kayaking trips. I have a stress fracture on one metatarsal right now, and I wore these all day yesterday standing, playing, walking and kayaking without a bit of pain.

I had an old pair of Tevas that lasted 10 years. I finally had to buy a new pair. These look and feel great, but they make your feet stink. Whatever anti bacterial coating they put on the footbed causes it to smell. As comfortable as these shoes are, I don't think I'd buy another pair because of the smell. I never had that problem with my old pair. I wish I still had them :(
