Comments about Mountain Hardwear Pinole +20 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
This bag will get the job done. It's versatile enough to use in a broad range of temperatures, and light and small enough to be used for backpacking, although I'd recommend a compression sack to save space in your pack. I tested this bag on a 30 degree night wearing only a t shirt and long underwear and I was actually very cozy, almost sweaty. I imagine that with a nice sleeping pad and a bivy this bag will hold up fine below the 20 degree mark. Very solid synthetic performer - Mountain Hardware rarely disappoints.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Pinole +20 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
Great sleeping bag for the price! performs great also in cold conditions, though might be sweaty in very warm weather(but then again its a synthetic bag - so in the summer get a cotton sheet with you).
I would recommend to get also a compression bag with it, otherwise it take too much space in the backpack. Though once compressed it is relatively small and light weight bag which suit also for long travels.
All in all, the vast majority of the people who go out to the wild will never need more then what this bag has to offer - so save your money and enjoy Nature :)

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Pinole +20 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
I tried on this bag in the store. It fit well and was roomy enough. However, the zipper was terrible. Snagged or hung up about every six inches. I finally got all zipped up, and when it came time to get out I nearly suffocated with all the effort it took to get unzipped. Tried the cat's meow next, the difference in quality was appearant the second I pulled it out of the bag.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Pinole +20 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
This bag provides exactly what I need for anything. This bag is extremely warm and fits nicely. I love the foot area feature where it alows you to piont your feet up. Somtimes the zipper is hard to unzip( but then I found out unzipping it slowly cures that problem) I also love the reversible stuff sack that makes it a pillow! That allows me to put my clothes for the next day in it to warm them up, so they are not cold. The bag in the stuff sack can be squeazed so the air escapes and you put it in your back pack and it will conform to that area in your pack. No need to go buy a compression bag. All in all this is the best sleeping bag I have ever had and is amazing for the price.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Pinole +20 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
This is great bag for the price, and a good bag even compared to much more expensive bags. It has comparable weight to other 20 degree bags. It is a legit 20 degree bag and very warm. Temps above 35 will cause me to sweat, but it can be controlled by unzipping completely and using as a blanket.
The supplied stuff sack is a bit too big and doesn't pack down very small, but makes up for it by being lined with a suede like synthetic inside, making for a very nice pillow when stuffed with a jacket of other clothing. The zipper does snag easily, and requires a little care when zipping/unzipping to prevent snagging.
All in all, hard to beat for the price and a great 3 season bag.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Pinole +20 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
I have the long version of this bag, and I'm 6'4". I tested it into the 30's on a Thermarest Pro Lite and stayed warm. I rencently camped on snow at 20F and a little lower. I wore my long underwear, socks and scarf and added a poncho liner inside just in case but probably didn't need it. I stayed warm all night. I tend to toss and turn and there's plenty of room in this bag for that. The zipper tends to snag, but once you've used it a few times it gets easier. I purchased this bag for the price and weight, and it performs well.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Pinole +20 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
The first thing I noticed using this bag is that it was snug. Laying on my back with my arms at my side I could only move them a couple of inches away from my side and I am not big, 5'11 175lbs The bag this one is replacing was much roomier. On the other hand this bag is much warmer. Just got back from a weekend where temps dipped into the mid 20's and I was toasty all night, and that is what I was looking for. The zipper is a problem no if's and's or but's about it, fix that and maybe a little more room and I'd give it 5 stars.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Pinole +20 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
This bag is perfect for a first bag because the price is not too expensive and the quality and durability are superior. I have used this bag only twice. I am 5'10", 150 lbs. and it fits me perfectly. I can toss and turn inside the bag with no issues and I stay completely warm. The only problem I have with this bag is that the zipper snags every time you zip it closed or open. This was a drawback I was willing to sacrifice for the excellent deal I received on this bag. Stop thinking about it, just buy this bag.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Pinole +20 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
Got to use this bag for the first time last weekend after recieving it for Christmas last year. I went backpacking and saw the temps forecast for 28 deg so I decided to carry this bag. I usually carry a Marmot minimalist for the weight but I can tell you the minimalist bag is not comfortable when the temps dip into the 20's. This Pinole bag rocked. I could see my breath all night in the tent yet I was very comfortable. I am 6'2", 210 lbs and got the long bag and was very pleased with the length and room. The stuff sack it comes in works but you can compress it 1/3 smaller if you buy an REI compression sack.
