After Thanksgiving in Chicago, I realized I don't own warm enough clothes to keep me warm for my upcoming move to colder climates!

I ordered about 10 pairs of socks and these Smartwool socks really were the best. I wanted regular looking socks- not too high, not too bulky, not the short ones- just regular warm socks that would keep my feet warm in the cold. These socks are fitted perfectly around my feet, and they do not bunch when I walk around in them.

The socks are also pretty warm- although not as warm as the "light" version.

Where are the heavy and medium versions of exactly these socks???

If my opinion changes when I move, I'll try to update my comments!

I use these socks in high heat and high humidity conditions working outside in west Texas for 8+ hours a day and have never had any sweat or gout or blisters. They are supportive where they need to be but are still breathable. Love these socks- I am getting more!

These are my favorite socks. They've gone through sometimes daily wear and wash, and they're still going strong about 6 months later. They feel thinner than "medium" hiking socks, but I wear them with everything from hiking boots to running shoes to casual boots, and they feel great throughout. Plus, people always comment on how cute they are.
