Comments about Outdoor Research Ferrosi Hoodie Jacket - Men's:
I've used a bunch of different softshells and windshirts, and I've found that most are not breathable enough for me (I sweat a LOT). This is the first one I've used that breathes really well, while still providing enough wind protection to make it usable for most conditions. I've used it downhill skiing, trail running, mountain biking, hiking, and camping. It's near perfect, except that the pockets are too low and are unaccessible if you're wearing a harness or pack waistbelt. Otherwise it'd get 5 stars.

Comments about Outdoor Research Ferrosi Hoodie Jacket - Men's:
I wear this for everything, most often as an outer soft-shell jacket when multi-pitch climbing in the dry climates of the West. It's simple, light, blocks enough wind, has no zippers or cuffs to get caught on my gear, and just barely fits over a climbing helmet. And it packs down into one of the hand pockets and has a loop to clip to my harness.

Comments about Outdoor Research Ferrosi Hoodie Jacket - Men's:
I own many pieces of carefully made, warranty-protected performance gear, but this is definitely my go-to. It's wind-resistant but breathable, (fairly) rain-resistant but stretchy, which makes it more versatile than I ever would have thought. The best of all is the fit--Outdoor Research more than any other company seems to fit my body type (not "athletic" necessarily, but on the thin side with some extra pounds) perfectly. I have a problem finding pieces long enough that are not bulky in the middle and this one fits like a glove. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be made in solid black any longer, which is too bad because not only would I have bought another, I get compliments on it all the time. It is a little bit too heavy for serious, ounce-conscious lightweighters, but for everyday and ounce-flexible backpacking, it's a dream.

Comments about Outdoor Research Ferrosi Hoodie Jacket - Men's:
The Ferrosi Hoody, from top to bottom, outperforms all the other transitional season and cool summer pieces I've worn. The abrasion resistant material is an excellent choice for consumate abusers of gear. When active/moving, this one actually keeps you warm too. Its windproof nature is tops but this one is much more functional than that. The material also stretches for ease of movement and optimal fit. This one keeps getting away from me for some reason though (I've had two and lost both)-perhaps it is because others know too just how awesome this piece is! I'm not recommending you steal this one from your buddy but get your hands on one, and it will soon have a go-to place at the front of your closet! A third is is my near future...

Hit tree line sweating on a spring ski day. I went for the Ferosi hoody. It let me cool off gradualy and when i arove at 13000 feet leaning into the wind I was still warm. It packs down and is light making it easy to bring along.

I love this jacket for climbing every where from Squamish to the Cascades. It is so light and warm that I never do a route in mixed weather without it.

Comments about Outdoor Research Ferrosi Hoodie Jacket - Men's:
I think this a great piece of gear for climbing. It keeps the wind and a light rain off of you. It stretches so it moves with you instead of against you. If you're afraid of a heavy rain, you might want something more waterproof than water resistant. It's more durable and has more friction than gore-tex paclite, so you'll fair much better when you gotta get your whole body into to. I wish there were zips on the cuffs, but otherwise couldn't ask for more.
