Comments about ExOfficio Give-N-Go String Bikini Briefs - Women's:
I never thought I'd write a review about underwear, and I never thought I'd pay this much for ONE pair.
Yet here I am, about to buy another pair.
They were super comfortable in every way.
I wore them for an overnight hike on Mt. Fuji and didn't feel icky.
I live in a very humid and warm climate (Japan) and I sweat a lot. These are super wicking, keep-you-dry undies that leave you feeling comfortable and ready to tackle the next 20 miles of trail. I hate that weighted-down with sweat feeling. No more cotton underwear ever. I wish I could wear a pair of these every day of my life.
They do in fact dry overnight and are easy to wash by hand. Very lightweight.

Comments about ExOfficio Give-N-Go String Bikini Briefs - Women's:
I purchased both the string bikini and regular bikini. I am an hourglass with 28 waist and 40 hips. The size medium fit me well in both. The main difference between the two styles is that the bikini goes higher on the waist - it has more fabric between the leghole and the waist. but the legholes are identical (i tried on one over the other just to see the difference). so far i have worn just the string. Though it seems to fit 'looser' than my standard cotton undies these did not ride up, even when I stooped to pet some chihuahuas. I was wearing loose wind pants over them. I am hooked! only downside i found was that my pantyliner did not stick to the fabric (so if it's a certain time of month you might have to forgo these undies.)
I bought these for a trip to disneyland (i'm hoping they will do me well for water rides) and for camping/backpacking.
this review is based on a 2 mile "test drive" walk with my dog. i did not get warm enough to be able to comment on their wicking qualities but I did find them breathable and just as comfy as cotton.
I will be purchasing another pair.

I have owned several pairs of these briefs for over a year now, and they are just about all I wear now. They wick moisture well and dry very quickly. I've had no issues with durability, they hold up to everyday use. I'm 5'5, 128, with 36" hips and small fits perfectly.

I just bought my third pair and I can't get enough! I bring three pair with me on trips, one on, one clean and ready to go, and one just washed. Takes a few hours to dry in damp weather, less than an hour in hot and sunny weather. They pack very tight, extremely lightweight, and fit well.

I mostly use these for my to and from work 7 mile bike rides but I'll use them any time I am going to break a sweat and am not wearing pants with built-in undies. I usually wear small, and got these in that size and the waste fits well, over all they. I like low-rise and these hit just right. My main complaint is that the do not cover my butt all the way. They kind of go across. I was worried they would ride up but that's not usually a problem, just occasionally. I like coverage but not bulky excess and these would be perfect if they did that better. Would not buy another pair.

I went backpacking around the world for 3.5 months and brought 3 pairs of these with me, and that's it as far as unmentionables go. They were recommended by a friend and it was one of the best tips I got. You can wash the ones you're not wearing at night (get travel detergent at [...] or REI), and they dry by morning. Probably 4 pair would've been better, but I wont complain- they took up zero space in my pack and added almost zero weight, were comfortable and lasted through a serious amount of hiking. AMAZING.

I bought two pair of these for travel in India during the whole month of August (read HOT and HUMID). When traveling through the desert, all of my clothing had salt lines by the end of the day, though these underwear never felt wet. They are very lightweight and thin. They washed clean by hand every night with little odor and held up well in the few washing machines we used. They dry very quickly when hung to dry. I now wear them frequently for every activity including hiking, backpacking, biking, running, and all winter sports.

You changed something in the new exofficio underwear. I prefer the old ones. The new ones have a bigger elastic band at the waist and it doesn't dry as fast as the old ones. I went to buy some more and found that they didn't make the old ones anymore so bought a pair of the "new" ones. and am disappointed that the elastic was still damp the next day; whereas in the old ones that I have, they would be dry in 2/3 hours. Bring back the old style. I found the same problem w/ the elastic staying damp in the men's exofficio underwear too. Bummer and I was trying to just wear only exofficio's. However, they are still very nice underwear, just not as quick drying as the old ones. I've had them for 3 years and they still look new. I've also just tossed them in the washing machine and they hold up well.

So far, for my body, build, and comfort, these are the best underpants I've ever owned. I have trouble with undies hiking up, if you know what I mean. I've hated that so much, I actually don't like to wear underpants anymore, and pretty much just gave up. I'm not into the "tug-tug" all day long, hoping no body is watching. I do travel quite a bit, and I needed something to take on trips that I could wash out in a sink and have dry by morning. These are perfect, and are dry in about an hour if you roll them up in a towel real good before laying them out to dry. Also, for some reason, the cut fits me so well, they hardly ever ride up. If they do, I don't notice- hence I'm not tugging. Can't speak for you, but these work great for me! Also, they wear like iron. I've had mine now, for about 3 years, and they still look like new. They seem to be made very well.

I wore these yesterday on a 14 mile trek plus a quick toddle around in my kayak. They were great at wicking away moisture and the best part was their odor resistance. I've always worn Pantagonia's underware and have often been disappointed with there ability to control odor in hot conditions. These keep me fresh, dry, and happy all day! Plus, hand washed them last night and they're ready for today's adventures!
