Comments about Arc'teryx Epsilon AR Jacket - Men's:
Very nice lightweight softshell for spring/fall layering. It's surprisingly warm for its thinness and non-insulated nature. I've had other softshells (the Mtn Hardware Onata in particular) that are also thin but completely useless and provide zero warmth or wind protection. Granted, this piece is at least 2x more expensive, but definitely worth it.
The moderate warmth combined with being highly breathable allows it to comfortably adapt from mid-low to very-high output activities while keeping you dry and comfortable. It's not the most wind resistant, but would be good protection for all but the stronger winds when you ought to be wearing a hard shell anyway.
The hand pockets are thin, but they work. The arm pocket is especially useful. I've always liked Arcteryx cuff construction and this one is also great - a bit different with the offset hem but functional. Fit is not tight but technical. Some room for layering underneath (an atom LT fits under but it's a bit compressed - oddly it works quite well to layer an atom LT *over* the Epsilon AR if you're not being rained on)

Comments about Arc'teryx Epsilon AR Jacket - Men's:
It was time for me to find a new soft shell and re-vamp my layering system. I chose this jacket because I really liked the fact that there aren't lots of extras on the jacket. It is simple, but well thought out. I really like the tapered and offset sleeves. The jacket fits great and does not get in the way of my gloves or get snagged on anything. And the fit is excellent for a guy who is 6'5" with long arms.

Comments about Arc'teryx Epsilon AR Jacket - Men's:
I use this jacket in changing environments in the Northeast. This is a good alternative to the others out there, and you don't become a walking billboard. It is rather on the high dollar side, but you get what you pay for, these days. It can be snug fitting for some.

This is a great lightweight jacket for colder weather activities. Wish it had more pockets. But still love it.

Comments about Arc'teryx Epsilon AR Jacket - Men's:
Love this jacket (2009 edition). I've had it for a few months now and have been super impressed. To start, the jacket breathes very well. I use it for skinning uphill in the backcountry and for winter peak bagging. The jacket also has a great finish and water beads up and rolls off beautifully, although it will wet out in the rain. Construction quality is superb and durability is solid. This jacket is a jack-of-all-trades as it works is a wide range of temps and conditions. Nit picks, the sleeves don't have a cuff so they will slide down as far as the length allows. If they moved the pockets back to the chest and added a hood it would be perfect.

Comments about Arc'teryx Epsilon AR Jacket - Men's:
I bought this jacket to wear on runs when it is windy around the Sound. The trick is most wind resistant jackets are either not resistant enough or do not breathe leaving you drowning you in your own sweat.
I looked at many jackets and walked away with this one knowing I'd spent more than I would on the competition. I am glad I did - this jacket breathes very well and doesn't let the wind cut through you like some others I've worn. I suspect this will be a great early spring / late fall hiking jacket as well and look forward to testing it out.
The fit is nice and snug which for running is what I was looking for. The inner layer does indeed wick well as advertised. The only "complaint" is that sizes seem to run big - I'm 6'2" and ended up in a medium when I usually wear large. The length is appropriate for my height.
