Comments about Novara Stowable Bike Jacket - Women's:
A versatile, practical and stylish jacket. Water resistant, windproof, breathable. Extremely light. It fits into my handlebar bag. Better yet, it's cute enough to wear even when I'm not on my bike. Because it dries quickly and packs small, it's also great for travel.
Design elements and materials are comparable to those found in much pricier counterparts, but at an affordable price, and a better fit.
The fabric is super soft, silky to the touch, and ultra lightweight. Smart seaming and elastic hem and cuff binding accommodate a cyclist's range of motion and a variety of figure types while keeping fabric bulk at a minimum. It doesn't creep up in back, and if I pull the sleeves over my hands, they stay put.
The zipper is positioned off center, so it doesn't chafe under a helmet buckle or over a second layer. The zipper backing panel is slightly stiff to hold its shape and seal out drafts, and there is a strip of fleece at the top to protect your neck from the zipper.
Another reviewer complained that it's not waterproof, but it's not supposed to be. I've washed this jacket many times (cold water, tumble dry low or airdry) and it is still water repellent. It dries quickly, so there's no need to ruin it by baking it in a hot dryer!
I chose violet so it looks more like a casual jacket than a technical one. I'm petite (5'1"), but often have to go up a size or two to fit my booty. Thanks to the shape of this jacket and the elastic hem, a small fits fine.
I have worn this on my daily 5-mile commute and on longer casual rides in temps ranging from high 30's (over a midweight hoody) to low 80's. It's not supposed to be UV protective, but I've used it as a sun cover. It's been very effective as a wind block.
Might not be scuff resistant enough for mountain biking.
It's amazing to find so many stylishly applied technical details in a jacket at this price.

Comments about Novara Stowable Bike Jacket - Women's:
I bought this jacket on sale, and it seems to be well worth the price. Quality is good, it works well as a windbreaker, and it stows away in one of the small pockets. I haven't had to use it in rainy weather (which I try to avoid if possible), so I can't comment on the waterproof quality. It's not breathable, but once you're warmed up you would probably open the zipper or remove the jacket anyhow.

Comments about Novara Stowable Bike Jacket - Women's:
I saw this on sale at REI and bought the large. I wear it to class, it is perfect for stowing in the backpack and having it when it gets cold without taking up any space. It keeps me extremely warm even in cold winds. I feel more comfortable wearing it than the more heavy duty windbreakers because its silky soft and gives off a warmth. I am buying another one because I lost mine in large. I will try small or medium this time. I would like matching pants in black. The express pants are more than I need. Please keep offering it in yellow.

Comments about Novara Stowable Bike Jacket - Women's:
Very soft and comfortable jacket. True to size, which I find to be uncommon with most cycling clothing. Packs very small. I got the purple color and it's very pretty. I saw the yellow in the store and it is very bright. If you want to be noticed and not run over, it's a good color.

Comments about Novara Stowable Bike Jacket - Women's:
I was looking for a bike jacket that would act as a bit of a wind breaker and would make me VISIBLE to drivers without being too heavy. This jacket fits the bill. AND the Extra Large actually is an extra large. Being a fair weather biker, I didn't buy it to wear in storms and showers. This jacket suits my needs perfectly.

Comments about Novara Stowable Bike Jacket - Women's:
This jacket is advertised as water resistant, in addition to being a good wind blocker. It did its job in light rain several times. Then I washed it -- cold water, gentle, no harsh detergent -- and all water resistance was gone. My next ride, it started sprinkling and the jacket was plastered to my skin almost immediately. I returned it -- [...]
