My wife bought these for me, knowing my preference for the ExOfficio Brand. They proved to be every bit as good, as the more expensive ones. I especially like how they dry quickly when laundered in a sink or at a campsite.

I bought 2 pair 2 years ago for backpacking and loved them.excellent fit, soft, just very comfortable. You won't be dissappionted.. I used them for working in the heat in florida. I work outside in construction in LONG PANTS!! I'm buying a couple more for gifts..Good buy for the money.

I bought 6 pairs of REI briefs a couple of years ago, finest underwear I have ever owned. Now, of couse, they no longer exist, and have been replaced with these. I wear them mostly as everyday briefs. The fabric has changed and is not as soft. Fit is still good. The new tag is stiff, and sticks me in the back. It cant be removed without damaging the brief. Please leave a good thing alone. I'll pay more if need be.

I bought one to try and it fit fine, but I'm 5'10, 180 with 26 inch thighs and a 33 in waist. Not quite a typical build. I've also used Patagonia's briefs and they compare well at half the price. I don't know about durablity yet but love them so far.

I've worn 2 pairs of these year round. I don't need a lot of support running, so I've found them perfect for daily wear and running. They dry quickly in normal to dry humidity, so are also good for washing by hand and hanging dry on the go. I would replace all my underwear with these!

Bought a pair while I was in the Albuquerque store. Wore them for a day hike of about 8 miles. Leg opening stretched out within an hour, lost all support and containment, and they became extremely irritating and uncomfortable. After the hike, washed and dried them, took them back to the store, and bought a pair of ExOfficio's, which worked out well. Don't waste your money on the REI brand.

As far as ventilation/wicking, these feel about the same as a good pair of cotton Jockeys while in use, but they dry a lot faster. The fabric is nice and soft, and they are relatively comfortable with good support. The problem is the legs are too big so they constantly ride up (you'll be grabbing your butt a lot to try to reposition them).

I got several of these a few years ago and they were my favorite briefs. I just ordered some more and they have changed. Now they are not so soft and ride up horribly. I don't even wear the new ones anymore and am looking elsewhere for briefs :-(
