Shipping Information.The REI Lightweight Polartec® Power Dry® crew can be worn alone or used as a performance insulation layer.
- Polartec Power Dry utilizes 2 different yarns on either side of the fabric to enhance comfort: interior yarn wicks moisture, and exterior yarn dries quickly
- The combination of the 2 yarns helps keep you dry during highly aerobic activities because it moves moisture away from skin faster than single-component fabrics such as cotton
- Flatseam construction is soft and non-chafing next to skin, and seams are designed to work with pack straps at shoulders
- Underarm and side gussets promote freedom of motion
- Dropped back hem stays tucked in; sleeves are long enough to cover biceps
- Next-to-skin fit hugs the body, maintaining skin contact to boost fabric performance

Wore these shirts in France under my REI breathable raincoat and the velcro on the coat was always catching on the shirts and has destroyed them on the first day I wore them. It pulled multiple pills/strands of material out of the shirt--like if you caught a sweater thread and pulled it out. I have 5 of the previous model shirts that I wore almost every day but these are not well made. They let more air pass through them than the previous lightweight model. Fit is tighter through the chest than the previous model and rides up.

I like this material better than the "old" REI. It is lighter weight, especially when wet. It dries fast and breathes exceptionally well.
It seems that the material may snag more than others, but I suspect the pile is how they made it dry so quickly so I wouldn't want it to change.

This is an excellent, breathable inner layer. It's not robust - I can see how it would tear with Velcro. But as a protected inner layer under a fleece or poly mid-layer it works very well.

I am a traveling professional. While on my travels, I enjoy all forms of outdoor as well as city activities. This t-shirt is perfect for ALL of them and works in ANY setting from Trail, to Classroom, to Bar.
My ONLY complaint is that it is only available in 3 colors. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give us a sort of army green and a dark deep red. Please. Make my joy complete.

I bought this after reviewing products in the Spokane store. I wore it casually that afternoon when the temperatures were reaching mid 90's. After putting it on it was like reducing the outside temp 10 degrees. I was still warm the rest of the day but a lot cooler than what I had been wearing. I just ordered 2 more today for myself and 1 for my daughter.

Most anything Polartec is comfortable and soft and it is. I use this primarily for running and working out and due to the style and color even wear it casually. It's a very soft, comfortable shirt, dries quickly, and breathes very well. But it is prone to pilling. The previous REI lightweight shirt did the same thing. Could possibly be the material, thought since it was Polartec that would have rectified the problem. But it's not a bad shirt, bought two. Don't regret it but wouldn't buy more.

Great shirt. I'm 6 ft 2, 190 lbs, athletic cut, and a large fits perfectly. Sleeves aren't too long like the OXT and Under Armour. In my opinion, the best shirt for running, working out, or comfortable casual wear out there.

I'm not sure why the previous users rate this so low. I have 3 of these and love them. I sweat a lot so I need something that wicks quickly and this crew does a great job. It dries very quickly so it'll keep you dry during hikes. The fit is slim but looks good. Yes there are threads hanging around but just take a lighter and burn them.
