Comments about Marmot Sassy Jacket - Women's:
I really liked the coloring and fit of this jacket because it was slightly lined and more professional looking then my basic Marmot rain jacket I wear hiking and on the weekends. I was looking for a more formal jacket I could wear during the week and when I dressed up that was waterproof and warmer then my thin rain coat. I agree the pockets are small and the sleeves are a bit short, but by sizing up that sleeves were ok, and it was roomier to wear with sweaters in the fall. However, after just one wearing I had ruined my sweater in several spots getting it stuck on the velcro and the velcro itself stuck to the jacket nad snagged/fuzzed the material where ever it touched it. For [$] I don't want the jacket to ruin my professional clothing or hurt the jacket fabric. I'll have to find a jacket without velcro! It's disappointing because I love the subtle plaid and the chance from a traditional black jacket.

Comments about Marmot Sassy Jacket - Women's:
This jacket is beautiful, practical, comfortable, stylish, and most of all, it keeps me dry in the climate I am in (Seattle). The sleeves are too short - I usually get XS but had to settle with S because the sleeves were too short for XS.
You must try it on at the store!! Don't let the pictures deter you away.
Also, front pockets are rather small and not even deep enough for my Iphone.

Comments about Marmot Sassy Jacket - Women's:
Just got this jacket and really like it. The jacket is dressier than what REI typically carries and is quite stylish. It has more of a curve to it than your typical rain gear in REI, and the fabric is distinctive. (I really like grey though so I am biased).
The fit seems true to size although the sleeves are a tad on the short side. This is great for me as I have short arms. I am 5'4" and weigh 115 and the small fits fine with a bit (not a ton) of room for extra layers underneath. The front pockets are a bit shallow (can't quite get all of my hands in there), but my iphone feels secure enough. The inside pockets are great: doubt I'll remember they are there though.
I solved the "velcro ruins the outer fabric" problem (see other reviews) by putting small pieces of fuzzy-side velcro on the pointy velcro tabs that rest on the outside of the jacket when the collar lies flat. That way I can remove them and close up the collar firmly if need be. So glad the other reviews pointed that out so I could do this while the jacket is still new. This is a great way to temporarily "disable" velcro on all kinds of things, by the way.

Comments about Marmot Sassy Jacket - Women's:
I am a small-medium, but the fit is slim so I have to get a large. Still, the styling is great. I can walk/run my dog in the woods, then go straight into the city. My big complaint is the velcro near the collar has been rubbing against the material, creating fuzz, which has caused the velcro to stick even more. Over the past few months, this has lead to a breakdown in the integrity of the outer material -- major design and functionality flaw. You can remedy this by taking out that first velcro attachment very carefully with a razor blade. Other than this, I love how light this jacket is. It rolls up very small so I can stick it into my purse no problem.

Comments about Marmot Sassy Jacket - Women's:
I bought the grey one and I think its very cute. I do agree that the sleeves run too small. The picture makes the jacket look boring, but its actually very flattering. I really love the inside pockets!! there are three, which kinda makes up for the shallow outer pockets. I can't really tuck my hands in all the way, which is disappointing. But I think I'll exchange the grey for black because I can wear it with a lot more clothes and can be worn casual and with business clothing. Overall, its a great rain jacket.

Comments about Marmot Sassy Jacket - Women's:
Right now I am in Japan. The weather has been mixed; rain, sun, wind, warm, and cold. Before I left US, I bought this jacket since it is light weight and thought it is perfect for travel. I was right. By adjusting what I wear under, I have been dry and comfortable. I think I can continue wear this even after I come back to US. This jacket should work well for California weather through year long. As for size, I normally wear petite xs or s. I am 5'3" and 93 lbs. I tried both regular xs and s at the store and decided to buy s, since I can wear heavy sweat under and still some room left. The sleeve is still a little too long for me but I roll it up a little and that is fine. The cons are wrinkles and velcro. I packed it in my backpack and came out all wrinkled. I read other reviews and fixed velcro problem and so far so good. But still stay away from wearing scarves. Thank other reviewers for great advise!

The pictures on this site do not do this jacket justice. I tried it on in the store and it's cute. However, I had to order a large [...]. I almost always wear a medium but it wasn't even close in this style. I think I'll be able to wear this coat in most situations without feeling that I look too casual.

Comments about Marmot Sassy Jacket - Women's:
I live in Seattle and this jacket is perfect for the winter. You have to layer with a fleece or sweater underneath when it's really cold. But it blocks the wind and keeps you dry when it's raining. I got the gray, and even though I normally wear a medium, I got the large due to tight fit and so I could layer. Overall, I love it!

Comments about Marmot Sassy Jacket - Women's:
I love the style of this jacket. I just moved to Seattle from SF Bay Area and this jacket was what I needed here. The length is what I like the most. The one thing that irritated me was that I usually wear a small, but I had to go to a medium with this jacket. The shoulders felt tight and narrow for me. Even the medium is still a little tight, but not like the small. OR maybe my shoulders are getting broader or I'm just getting fatter. Who knows? It still felt like the sizing was running kind of small. But I still think its a good jacket.

Comments about Marmot Sassy Jacket - Women's:
This jacket looks very flattering and cute with everything. Yes, it's much more attractive than the pictures of it here. It's very feminine and classy. You can wear it out- I just wore it with a dress to an elegant dinner. Or you can wear it to work or camping. It's not super warm, but I bought a size I can wear over a warm sweater. As I tried it on, three different women in the store passed me and said, "That's your jacket. Get it for sure." I feel that I made a great purchase that will get a lot of practical use.
