I've purchased several packages of the three different sizes. Just remember to account for their actual diameter size (the red is like a wrist band, blue-bicep, gray-thigh).

They are very secure and adjust very quickly. I bought more because they work so well in any application. They're all over my Jeep's roll-cage. Normally straps from a Jeep website would run you 10 bucks a pair.

Not much else to say, just thought these need a 5 star review to represent their quality.

These little things are great. As long as you get the right size, they are so much easier to use than buckles on a pack because of the lack of dangling extra strap material that gets in the way of everything. They are more than strong enough to hold sleeping pads and other lighter gear on the outside of your pack.

I've also found that these are great for expanding the carrying capacity of my smaller 18 liter summit pack, something I wouldn't normally do with the buckle straps because of all the excess strapping. I secure a jacket on the outside with the medium blue straps to free up space inside.

I've also found that these work well as compression straps when I've had to ice my knee!

I've been looking for something like this for years. Regular straps, ropes, etc. have a habit of coming loose at the wrong time. These are great for attaching things to other things and will stay tight. I originally bought two 12" and one 18". I plan to get a couple more of each of those sizes, plus a couple of the 24' size. I'm sure you'll think of many uses like I have.

I have a pile of these in my gear stash and rarely take a hike - short or multi-day - that I don't use one or more to wrap, compress or secure something in or on my pack! I love them. REI: we need at least one size larger (30"-36")
