The North Face Geosphere jacket is great for highly aerobic activities where wind resistance and breathability are paramount.

Polyester fabric is soft, lightweight and extremely breathable; mesh lining helps wick moisture from skin and adds slight warmth
Brimmed, unlined, adjustable hood cinches down for coverage that keeps you protected; it also rolls into the collar when not needed
Front zipper has an interior windflap and a chin guard; softly-lined collar feels nice next to skin
Drawcord hem and elastic-bound cuffs seal out the elements
2 hand pockets; left pocket doubles as a stuff sack
Regular fit allows airflow and evaporative cooling

Collar is too stiff, zipper dug into neck. Mesh lining is very loose, sticks out of cuffs. Not ideal for heavy aerobic activity.

The best thing I like about this jacket is that it washes up beautiful. Stains come off. It becomes like a new jacket everytime I wash it and put it back on. I bought this jacket in the spring 2011 because my 16 year old Columbia jacket had finally wore out. I am very pleased that this Northface met my expectations. I can see that it too, will be here for me to use for many years to come. The only thing I am bummed about is that now it is on clearance. I paid full price for it.
