      This jacket is perfect for cool, damp, Oregon/Washington days that don't quite warrant a waterproof/windproof jacket.

      I fell in love with this jacket as soon as I saw it. As a student, I don't like carrying layers so the built in liner and fairly wind/water resistant shell make this the perfect jacket to toss over whatever I'm wearing indoors (usually a t-shirt) with out cold shell sleeves. It also packs very well.

      I love this jacket. I fell in love with the super soft fleecy lining, and I thought at the time (in-store) that it was waterproof. Nothing said otherwise.

      After reading the specs online, I see that it is not technically waterproof, but it has repelled the water in every application for me so far. (This includes snow, rain, muddy water from a dog shaking off, and water from the hose while the dog was getting a "bath.")

      My biggest complaint is that the jacket doesn't breathe and the soft lining gets really warm. If the weather is mild but wet, a person could almost overheat. When the weather is cold, however, it is excellent!

      A minor complaint would be that the hood is a bit large for my head (hangs down to my eyebrows), but I probably have a small head, and it does help keep wind and rain out. It's still a great jacket.
