Comments about Novara Padded Cycle Briefs - Women's:

I own 3 pair of these, and plan to get a couple more before we do a week long ride in the mountains this summer. These are great for wearing under bike shorts and capris. They provide extra padding and are very comfortable. We ride around 150 miles a week, and these briefs provide just the right amount of padding. I plan on having a clean pair to wear every day when we ride slightly under 500 miles in a week this summer. They don't take up much room in a backpack, which is an extra plus.

Comments about Novara Padded Cycle Briefs - Women's:

I'm really sorry I bought these and may return them. Whoever designed them doesn't know female anatomy and doesn't ride a bike. They are useless because the padding is in the back and there is not enough in the front. Awful. Really terrible for snow biking.

Comments about Novara Padded Cycle Briefs - Women's:

I started taking one or two spin classes a week after an injury ruled out other kinds of cardio work. The biggest obstacle was serious pain at the ischium (the bony bits at the bottom of my pelvis), and these briefs fix that problem. I'm a larger person (size 14) and have some padding further forward in my anatomy, but a weirdly bony butt. These briefs are great for me as a casual rider with a pain in the butt, but I can definitely see how if my weight or lack of padding was further forward in my crotch these would be useless. If I ride more often I would definitely consider a more substantial pair of bike shorts.

Padding in all the wrong places

Comments about Novara Padded Cycle Briefs - Women's:

I've hesitated to give these a poor review because I thought maybe I was just anatomically messed up, though I've never heard this from any gynecologist or boyfriend. The padding seems like it's situated way too far back to actually accommodate the significant weight-bearing surfaces on any of my mountain, commuter, or road bikes. If I had my childhood Schwinn banana seat or was riding a recumbent bike and weight-bearing on my sacrum, these might be more delightful. It's a great idea but needs some work. I still wear them for short rides, as they're better than nothing or better than cotton underwear but not much. Mostly, I'm just too cheap to throw something out.

I'm training for a big ride and thought I needed padded undies. The pad is too far back and doesn't cushion my behind on the seat. I will have to take it apart and reposition it. Not worth buying.

The padding is minimal. I haven't been on a long ride while wearing these but don't think it would be a good idea.

Nice material, good fit, doesn't ride up. Would work well for a recombant bike seat as the padding is way in the back, not where you need it. Won't buy a second pair.

these are comfortable, durable, don't creep up and a great alternative to expensive bike shorts. These are great for wearing under your regular workout shorts without adding to much bulk. Enough padding for comfort for a long ride or spin class

Comments about Novara Padded Cycle Briefs - Women's:

I did not like the padding in these briefs. I don't know if it is the specific pair I bought or all of them in general, but the padding is little in the rear and very little in the front portion. It almost feels like the padding was placed too far back in the brief.
