The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about REI Arete 2 ASL Footprint:
[...].This footprint and the ASL 2 tent that it is attached to where the first ones east of the Rockies back in January of 2008.This item is a MUST HAVE for the Arete ASL 2. It's coffin shape fits the shape of the tent bottom perfectly. Without it the bottom of your tent will soon be dirty, damp, or both! The only problem that I have had with it was when it first arrived. The instructions where not clear about which side should be facing the ground and which should be against the tent. It took several phone calls back and forth with REI Tech Support to figure it out. Hopefully, REI took my input as a user and as an Industrial/Quality Engineer to improve the installation instructions since 2008.Once installed in February of 2008 this footprint has not been off the tent! This footprint and tent have been through a night and day of gale force winds and rain on a supposed 3-day kayak trip to Shackleford Banks, Outer Banks, NC (Spring 2008); 16 degree night temps on a Boy Scout backpacking trip in the Uwharrie Mountains, NC (Nov 2008); another 3-day PEACEFUL kayak paddling trip to Shackleford Banks, Outer Banks, NC (Spring 2009); a 3-day kayak paddle expedition across the Okefenokee Swamp, GA, (Summer 2009), 2 annual paddling trips on the Lumber River (NC) with the Lumber River Canoe Club, and countless nights camping with my Boy Scout troop. In fact, one other Assist. Scoutmaster and 3 of my Scouts have bought the footprint and tent because they liked mine so well.It works great on bare ground, grass, snow, sand and sandbars along East Coast rivers, and "Chickee" platforms in the Okefenokee.Have footprint and tent will travel!
