I went hiking in Colorado recently and was caught in a rain/wind/sleet storm while on the mountain. This jacket did the trick to keep me warm and dry on the entire hike. Loved it!

I purchased this jacket to take with me to my trip to Peru. I used my jacket in Lima, where it was winter with a light fine rain and temperatures in the mid 50s. I never got wet and the jacket kept me warm enough.
In the Cusco region and Machu Picchu it was colder and we had torrential rains. My REI ultra light jacket and my keen hiking boots kept me dry and comfortable. I cannot say the same about my travel companions that were wearing other brands of rain jackets.
I am 5'3" so the jacket's length was perfect, and the sleeves velcro ties allowed me to put them at the right length. Although I see why others say it was a little short for them. Thumbs up for REI on this product.

Took a risk and ordered this online from Australia - not something I usually do as a plus-size person. However, am totally thrilled with the product in every way. It has a very stylish and tailoired look. Quality and features are excellent and the fit is spot on, flattering and ample. I am 5'91/2" and weigh 100kg but am relatively fit and a straight up and down figure. I bought the 3X and it is more than ample, allowing for lots of layers underneath. I like a relaxed fit, so could probably go a size down but like it as it is. The Juneberry colour is lovely - a true cerise. My husband likes it better than his North Face equivalent. I have struggled to get a jacket, as a plus size, often having to try for men's sizes but these are cut way too large in the shoulders and too narrow in the hips for a good fit, but this is perfect! Thank you REI!!

Really bummed that I ordered this jacket into the REI store in the lovely blue and there is a stain on this jacket that I don't think will come out. Now there are no more blue ones in my size. :-( It seems like a nice jacket.

I purchased this product to go over my fleece when I moved to a colder climate for work. I thought it would also make a great rain jacket, which I also needed for the area I was moving to. Guess what? It works great! In the cold, wind, and snow I've been comfortable with this jacket on top of my REI fleece. Love it!

I found last year's jacket on clearance at my local REI in a 3X and snapped it up, thinking it would be a great spring windbreaker. I was right. Though it's definitely big, it has a nice shape, and I use it for my daily workout (walking, not for running). I also used it snowshoeing with one layer underneath (good windblock) and I wear it around town.

The zip-off hood is a nice touch, and the light blue color (not offered this season) is really cute. The inside zip pocket on the left chest holds an iPhone perfectly and has a handy headphone slot to keep the phones inside the jacket.

The length is good and overall, I love this jacket. Plus sized women who want something like a Marmot PreCip or a Patagonia jacket (but who aren't offered that option) have found a home here at REI. Thanks for another great product - now can we just get a windbreaker??? :)
