This product started pilling the very first week. I was abroad, so I couldn't return it. It now looks worse than the fleeces I bought in the 80's and 90's, which I still own and wear.

I had an earlier version of this jacket that I loved, so when I lost it I replaced it with the Alpine. Unfortunately, it started pilling within a couple weeks. Then after I washed it, my black jacket was covered with pilling that had picked up lint that was color of another garment I'd washed it with. People commented on how bad it looked. I'm not by any means someone who cares about fashion, but this was my everyday jacket and I could no longer wear it to work. I returned it.

I purchased this to be warm. It was a poor choice. I live abroad, and quickly reverted back to using my friend's used $12 fleece - great warmth, great fit, and a true chin guard.

The "zipper chin guard" starts at the top of my adam's apple and leaves my neck and collar area exposed to the cold zipper. The chin guard is sewn with itchy thread. The neck is the only close-fitting aspect of this jacket, and the chin guard has SIX layers of fabric which press into the neck, roll, and often expose my neck to the zipper.
When unzipped, the edges of the zipper that touch my neck are sharp.
"Feminine cut"? A joke. It fits like a burlap sack.
The sleeves and bottom of the jacket fit like a M-L. Cold air flows directly through them.
The fleece has zero wind resistance.
The fleece immediately pilled and collected gads of hair.
The jacked comes complete with an itchy tag and loop to hang it up with on the inside collar (which I cut out.)

I emphatically urge you to not buy this fleece. I'm stuck without a real fleece until I return from my volunteer trip mid-2012.

Finally found a jacket with enough room to move. All of the other fleece jackets in the store were too small around my chest (38 DD) this one has plenty of room. The arm cut provides lots of room. The body length fits fine, I am 5'4 but the sleeves have to be turned up a bit.
