Comments about REI Paridiso Jacket - Men's:
It's a very nice, stylish, warm jacket -- nice enough not to look out of place at work, but warm and comfortable enough to stand up to rain and weather on days when I'm outdoors a lot. However, it has a few nits that make it not useful as either an outdoor jacket or an indoor jacket.
The collar has a wind guard on the right side which is too stiff -- the right side sticks up, the left side flops down. It looks silly.
The cuff adjusters have really cheap, amazingly weak velcro, and it's poorly placed. The cuff adjusters are always flopping around.
Lastly, it seems fitted for a man with a gut. The chest and shoulders fit well but not the stomach/waist.

Comments about REI Paridiso Jacket - Men's:
This jacket turned out to be my best friend in my recent travels. The many pockets are good for passports, wallet, sunglasses and their is even a discrete sleeve pocket for stashing some cash. Also, on cold airlines kept me warm as the fit is perfect. This is my second REI jacket and both fit me perfectly.
All in all, this is a good indoor and urban travel jacket, one of the best picks I have made for trips.

Comments about REI Paridiso Jacket - Men's:
This is a nice jacket. I've been wearing it for a few weeks now and I think it's well built. No seams are loose, the zippers work great, the pockets are nice and deep. The one complaint I have is that even light breezes seem to cut right through it. This may be caused by the fact that I am a bit larger than the XXL size and the stretch that causes in the fabric is to blame. Overall, I think it's a great spring/fall jacket for around town and would be nice on cool summer mountain evenings.

Comments about REI Paridiso Jacket - Men's:
I bought this at the Labor Day sale. It's still August in Chi, so I've no reason to wear this coat now, but the fit in the store was SUPER. Sleeve length was spot on for my 36" arms (shirt size). XL had a long enuf body for my 6'4" frame's torso--a nice surprise. I cannot wait 'til fall to test it out. Great assortment of pockets&storage--even in the cuff&forearm where there's a zippered pouch. Too bad there was no blue one. XXL was way too big in the torso. I'm 6'4" & 235Lbs,btw.

Comments about REI Paridiso Jacket - Men's:
I looked high and low for a casual jacket that was functional, but also comfortable and looked nice. I initially tried a North Face Apex Bionic Jacket, which was very nice looking, but the sleeves were narrow for wearing a dress shirt underneath, and I found myself getting too warm. I returned it for this one, and what a great choice it was! While the paridiso does not come in a charcoal or black color (preferred), my three favorite features over the north face are: the sleeves are wider and accept dress shirts easily, it's lighter weight, and it is many times more breathable! It's so breathable and comfortable, that I've found myself putting it on when in drafty conditions in the 60's, but I'll find myself still comfortably wearing it (with no sweat or heat) even when I've moved to a space that is in the high 70's. Very versatile.
I would agree with other comments that the collar design encourages one side to flop and the other to stay up. Personally, I don't see this as a big deal...just take your thumbs and forefingers and straighten the collar out...takes a second or two every once in awhile :) Otherwise, it's a casual but sharp looking jacket. And I'm not sure why some people think it's too big on the chest...I have a very athletic body, I'm about 6' with a 30-31" waist, and I think it fits nice...it's not snug, but it looks good.

Comments about REI Paridiso Jacket - Men's:
This comment is mainly to reinforce some previous comments. When I originally bought this jacket, the arms were tight and the waistline was a comfortable fit. Then I lost 50 lbs. Now, the arms and shoulders feel fine but the waist and abdomen are oversized.
I also agree about one collar constantly falling down, and the annoying velcro straps at the cuff.
Overall though, this is a great jacket. Does well in most weather, and can double as a shell for layering.

Comments about REI Paridiso Jacket - Men's:
I have a lightweight windbreaker, and the REI Neo jacket but wanted something in between for warmer spring days. This jacket fits the bill. It has a lot of pockets. The fit is a little odd, a medium was a snug/nice fit, while the large is just a little too big. I do worry about the velcro on the sleeves and would have preferred normal cuffs. All in all, this is a stylish jacket for wearing to work, but probably not doing any vigorous outdoor activities in.
