Comments about REI Ultra Light Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
These pants were put to the ultimate test yesterday, an passed with flying colors. Though not your typical "outdoors" use, these went through three hours of tailgating and a three-hour football game, and not a drop got in. The rain never let up, and it was dumping most of the time. My Patagonia Rain Shadow jacket did not perform well at all compared to these pants

Comments about REI Ultra Light Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
I am writing this review to help folks with inseams. I am 6'1" and 205lb. I have a 33" inseam. So, should you go with the 32" or 34"? I ordered both and the 32 actually measures 31.5" and the 34 measures 33.5". I kept the 34 as they fit perfectly in size large. Very well made and not noisy like so many other waterproof pants. I have not tested them in the rain yet, but feel certain they will perform flawlessly.

Comments about REI Ultra Light Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
I lived in these pants for nearly a week in the Canadian boundary waters. It rained and stormed during most of our trip. These pants kept me bone dry, were comfortable, durable, light, packable, and functional. The best part? Half the price of the big names. They were not super breathable but enough to keep me comfortable. I also like the cinch cord around the ankles - kept my socks dry during many soggy portages. Buy this! Thank you REI, well done.

Comments about REI Ultra Light Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
[*] I spent a rainy weekend with that wife and my buddy Doogle-moostafon the 3rd up in the Mount Rogers National Recreation Area. Anyway, it rained alot and these pants stayed very dry. They are extremely comfortable, so much so that I didn't even bother taking them off when we got back to your vehicle at Massie Gap Parking. I wore them all the way home during our 6 hour drive after hiking the mountain. If you're looking for a good, light weight rain pant at a competitive price, look no further.

Comments about REI Ultra Light Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
I live a long way from an REI store. I was very happy to be able to try these on in the store. The fit was extraordinary, even over denim pants. The fabric is so lightweight and even stretchy that it fit. I bought a men's Large. I'm overweight these days but it went over the pants and without being baggy anywhere, I still could bend my knees. I think the fabric will also lie down when I'm smaller or wearing less underneath them.

Comments about REI Ultra Light Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
This was a gift for husband, he has not voiced any complaints, so far used to break wind. they provide no warmth so layer.
I recieved a pair as a gift,(ladies small) they are ample large enough to fit over jeans (5'3", 121 lbs.)to break the wind while walking to work. If it is colder than 30°they need to have another pair of warm pants(other than jeans) underneath. they are great at breaking the wind, have not been exposed to rain yet.

Wore them once to give them a try. Good fit, comfotable, breath well enough to keep you reasonably dry. They roll up small enough to fit in my back pack. Best of all, since they've been in my bag it hasn't rained at all!

Comments about REI Ultra Light Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
These pants survived my adventures in Africa, including crawling deep in a gold mine. I am amazed.
Then I wore them for more than half of my time traveling Europe, because it rained so often. I can't believe how durable they are, and still waterproof. I wore them one day in a torrential downpour, along with my Arcteryx jacket and waterproof boots, and I stayed completely dry.

Comments about REI Ultra Light Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
I really like these pants but found them slightly difficult to get on/off over large backpacking boots. I wear a size 13 so I usually have problems with a 9 inch ankle zipper. Otherwise I think these are a great pant.

Comments about REI Ultra Light Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
I use these pants constantly. During a month long AT section hike over the summer, these kept me dry except for the sweat. These pants aren't very breathable, but what do you expect wearing rain gear in the summer? Just today when I wore them to and from class in the rain, I got rooster-tailed by a car driving through a mud puddle and stayed completely dry. They also pack really well. Highly recommended.
