I have skin cancer,so these gloves are a life saver. I hike several hours a day and these are comfortable and not overly hot in the summer. The only complaint is that they fray at the hemline of each finger.

These gloves stay very cool even when the sun is beating down on them. I wish they had better looking colors/patterns that didn't show dirt so easily. The sizing runs large. An XS would be appreciated!

I recently started a field rotation for work that invloves surveying in areas that have over 103 degree weather. My hands are the only exposed part of skin and I wanted to cover them with something that didn't interfere with my work duties. These gloves work great! They keep my hands dry, free from burning and surprisingly provide good grip. I personally like that they run slightly bigger because I can place them over my shirt sleeve and not worry about bugs crawling into my arms. The only downside is they seem to wear fast around velcro. I wear a vest that has velcro and I'm constantly going in and out of my pockets for tools and it snags them. I also love wearing them when I drive. The interior of my car is black and sunscreen does a number on black leather, so these gloves really save my car and my hands.FYI: I looked in 3 REI stores for these gloves and couldn't find them, so I was subjected to burning hands for 3 weeks until they arrived in the mail. [...] after seeing how my hands were ten shades darker than the rest of me. Keep in mind that I apply sunscreen religiously every two hours. These gloves are definitely worth purchasing even if you have to pay extra for shipping!

These gloves are only made for mens hands. As a small women I found them much too large. I need hand protection for work when I am outdoors completing surveys. The color gets dirty really easily and the fingers are too big and bulky. It would be nice to see these made in different colors and smaller sizes that are more appropriate for women.

Love the idea of the sunscreening ability of these gloves since I live in the AZ desert where the sun always shines, intensely. Sadly I must return these because as a woman the unisex sizing of SM/MED were much too baggy on my hands. They should be offered in womens sizing or at the least an XS option. Will keep looking. They would have been great for hiking & kayaking.

Comfortable gloves that provide excellent sun protection, even though I'm very fair-skinned.
They don't feel hot when in the sun & the ambient temperature is > 80 degrees F.
