The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Nonin GO2 Achieve Oximeter:
Trying to use this device at home on a family member with compromised lungs (fibrosis) and we found this device not as accurate as stated. We tried two Nonin Oximeters and compared to actual readout on hospital equipment and the first device measured 4 percent lower than it should be and the second device 6 percent lower than the actual reading. The heart rate result was accurate where the blood oxygen result was always inaccurate.

Comments about Nonin GO2 Achieve Oximeter:
this is used for a COPD sufferer, accuracy is vital for this condition. we use it because it reads lower than a Therapist model, which is better than giving a false high reading. id like to find a more precise/accurate model, please let me know if you have one.
Thanks, Sharon

Comments about Nonin GO2 Achieve Oximeter:
I bought two of these and headed down to Haiti for medical work. These were incredibly useful for emergencies and for monitoring when giving narcotics for painful dressing changes. Folks there were thrilled to have these donated after I left. The best reading on my body was always 98% when it should have been 100, so I see why some of the other reviewers are frustrated. I would not buy this to manage a chronic medical condition. However, for detecting unexpected changes and other acute applications, these devices are indispensable.

Comments about Nonin GO2 Achieve Oximeter:
Despite the other reviews, I find this oximeter to be extremely accurate, even compared to the expensive ones. Nonin says it's certified for up to 40,000 feet. I use this for determining my O2 needs while flying, in which it is extremely helpful because it does vary from flight to flight. I use supplementary O2 when my SpO2 drops to 90%. I wouldn't buy this for the pulse rate though, as there are much better tools for that like the Polar brand for hiking/working out. I presume you can also use this (and a little knowledge) to help detect altitude sickness, HACE, or HAPE. Great product at a great price.

Comments about Nonin GO2 Achieve Oximeter:
I bought this to use as an adjunct to the hospital Nonins I use at work as a respiratory therapist. I'm halfway tempted to return it; as previous reviewers noted, the accuracy is not stellar, as compared to hospital rated equipment. I find that it's not at all reliable (for O2 or pulse) on people who have less than excellent peripheral perfusion.
I also don't care for the design; if you could pinch the top of the unit to open it for placement on fingers it would be better. As it is you have to either use some force to shove it onto the finger tip or pry it open from the bottom, which is awkward when you're placing it on someone else. The battery compartment is also difficult to get open.
On the plus side, battery life is excellent and the numbers are back-lit and easy to read even in dim light conditions.
I know this isn't really rated for professional use- and I can see why.

Comments about Nonin GO2 Achieve Oximeter:
This is accurate +- 2%. Does not tell the difference between oxygen or CO in blood.
Does not tell if your blood is too "thin", low hemaglobin. It should not report 100% oxygen due to cardiac circulation.

Comments about Nonin GO2 Achieve Oximeter:
I am a climber and trekker. AND had a near fatal idiopathic (unknown cause) sudden PE (pulmonary embolism). Since recovering, I have continued climbing and treking. Yes, this is NOT a medical device, yet when I compare it with the Medical certified devices at my MD's office and at the hospital, it is only 1% off (almost always lower, erring on the low side is good!), most of the time it is spot on. I depend on this device to save my life by early notice of follow on pulmonary events while climbing and treking. It serves the purpose well. On the negative side, in low light condtions, if it is not on the finger just right, the reading fail to lite up. Perhaps that is why they have two models, the other model is a red lite LED numbers which are always lit. However, I have not used that one and can not give feedback on it. I would suspect that it works as well in accuracy.
