Good Case for kayaking/canoeing/sailing

Very useful case if you need to keep an Iphone dry yet easily accessible. The case has foam padding (removable) plus extra padding to slip between phone and camera. It is a perfect size to hold my Iphone and a small Canon camera. The latch makes it easy to access the contents, yet the case is completely waterproof. It is sturdy and comes with two clips in addition to the lanyard with a caribiner on it to allow for securing the case. Plus it floats! Clearly high quality item.

Safe for electronic and/or crushables!

I have used other cases by S3 so I was eager to try the new case. I cataraft rivers in the PNW, winter camp, and spend time outside in all kinds of weather. I expect a lot from my gear and that which doesn't perform is on a quick trip to Goodwill. First impression is that is a solid case. It feels well constructed and has none of the flex that similar inferior products may have. To test it I stood on it (I weigh 270lbs). No hint of giving in it at all. No creaking or cracking either. When I opened the case there was a hiss from the pressure release. That was a tell tale sign that the unit has a great seal. (In the course of shipping the pressure changes) The belt loop and strap loops provided slide firmly into place. It takes some effort to remove them so the chance of it falling out is VERY slim. Both items are thick and rugged in feel and appearance. The stap supplied comes with a small carabiner and a compass. I don't know if I would bet on the compass or not, but the carabiner has a surprisingly strong spring. There is plenty of room on the ear, that the strap is attached to, to add your own split ring and biner if needs be. The hinge is not at all loose nor does it feel weak. The latch on the case closes in a very satisfying manner. There is not a question as to whether the case latch is closed or not. I check the waterproofness of any items before taking them out in the "world". I stuck the case in a foot of water with a concrete block sitting on it. After 8 hours it came out (again with the pressure release hiss) with ZERO water inside. Good enough for me! I will trust it with my camera and phone. The great thing is that with both of those items in the case, it still floats! Bonus!
