      I use this block just what you think it would be intended for...yoga poses. It's lightweight. The packaging comes with 9 diagrams of how the block can be used, which is helpful to look at since there are so many poses to remember. It was a total toss up between the foam block and the cork block. They're both lightweight and fulfill their purposes. It seemed that the cork was the more environmentally responsible choice, but it was more expensive (only by $5 or $6), so I just went with this EVA foam block. For a while, I was just using the biggest book in the house, but eventually I caved in and bought the block and I've never turned back. The book was free, of course, but it was heavy and clunky, so this was a smart purchase.
