The NiteRider Pro 600 LED bike light system features D.I.Y. (Do It Yourself) software that lets you design and program your own specs. Customize run time, light output and flash rates.

Maximum light output for this model is 600 lumens; it's fully programable and the options are virtually limitless, allowing you to tailor the light to your ride
Internet-based D.I.Y. software runs on Windows 2000 and later platforms
With a simple click of the update button on the D.I.Y. software screen, you can download and store up to 4 programs in the light
For flash you can select from a list of available flash modes, customize your own or exclude it entirely

My first review I gave the light a 3 star. After 4 returns, yes 4 returns, I finally have a charger/headlight that works (mostly). The product is fantastic when it works. Incredible amount of light and nice design.All four of my problems seem to be around the docking station. Niterider clearly has had some QC problems, but I was impressed when the owner called me directly to try to quickly diagnose the problems I was seeing. [...].that being said, I shouldn't have to return the product in the first place.I continue to recommend Light & Motion, but when this light works, its truly cutting edge. I think they should have left out the computer interface to the light and improved the connectors to be more water tight. Oh well. Don't buy this product on the internet...Stick with REI [...]

Typical NiteRider product....It would be great if it worked. [...] My hunch was right. The batter errored out on the first charge. Niterider online help was non existent. Local shops don't seem to carry NiteRider products (in favor of Light & Motion) because of the continued problems with NiteRider products.Bottom line: Could be a very neat product, but it was to WORK first. Software is obviously first generation and confusing. That would be okay if they could just get their battery technology to work. If you can find a Light & Motion product that fits your needs, stick with them. As for me, I will fall into my standard pattern of behavior....return and try again, despite my better judgement

I finally updated my bike light and went with the Pro 600. My first use was at 24 Hours of MOAB and this light performed flawlessly. The clip in battery made recharging a snap. I used the D.I.Y. software to customize the light and loved it. Additionally, being able to program a very low-output setting to conserve the battery while maintaining the ability to turn it on high at a critical nav point or a technical bike section makes this light excellent for adventure racing. My last Niterider light lasted a decade, but this new light is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone.

I recently competed in a 24 hour mtb competion. Despite rough terrain and lack of familiarity with the course this light was almost as good as riding in the daylight. Its easy to recharge, the mounts are sturdy and simple to configure, and the gear is tough. I would reccommend this product for any type of night riding.

Got the light. Put it on the charger. Charged fine for about an hour then the lights on the charging cradle started flashing weird patterns. Something is either wrong with the battery or charger. Haven't gotten to use it yet. Read on forums that this is apparently a fairly common issue.
