These are the socks that will give you just a little more cushion over your shin bones. It may not seem significant at first glance, but remember your legs move forward and backward as you unweight to carve. Modern stiff walled ski boots are not made with this motion considered hence the need for sock augmentation.To the extent possible, these do help. personally, I roll with Alpaca inserts (also sold at REI) and these socks and its so comfortable: smooth riding all season. Change the insert once a year for best results. and those neoprene boot covers go in the ski bag just in case. They really do work. Stick with natural fabrics: always healthier. Ski on!
