Comments about Motorola MR350R 2-Way Radios - Pair:

I used this set of radios for six days on the Rae Lakes Loop in the Sierras to keep in contact with the front of our group. After keeping the Radios on Battery Save Mode at all times during hiking (8 miles/day a on average) the batteries only reduced to 66% by the end of our trip. I was able to keep in contact with others at least a few miles away in the mountains. I have been very happy with performance so far.

Comments about Motorola MR350R 2-Way Radios - Pair:

I am a paleontologist, and use FRS radios to stay in touch with my field crews while we're working. I bought these radios for this purpose, and one of them wouldn't transmit right from the start. When we contacted customer service, they informed us that they wouldn't replace them because we used them for "business." Apparently these radios are designed only for personal use, and using them in the same way as people might for personal use makes them break right out of the box when you use them while you're working. Not buying any more Motorola radios, because that's a stupid policy.

Comments about Motorola MR350R 2-Way Radios - Pair:

Hunting trip in the mega-flat Dakotas. Maybe there is too much iron in my blood or something, but these radios would not transmit with a direct line of sight to even 1/2 mile away, using full power. Rained on us a couple days and they quit working all together. Horribly embarrassing for me. Seem like complete junk. One of them came back to life after a couple days. The other one never again transmitted on full power. Seems like most of the other competing radios are of the same caliber though. Maybe its just me.

Comments about Motorola MR350R 2-Way Radios - Pair:

I purchased 4 sets of these radios and thought I would stay with Motorola since I had purchased many of their T7400 series but I guess they forgot what quality was. These new radios had terrible audio and trasmission was bad. Overall they are a cheap radio and I would not recommend anyone buy one. Why couldn't they keep producing what worked, the T7400 series, I have 2 of the T7400 series working after 5 years.
