    Comments about Gerber LX 3.0 LED Flashlight - '09 Overstock:

    I've owned this flashlight for about 4 years and it has been absolutely great. The single LED is bright and the light is easy to see in. The first time I used it, it was already dark when we started hiking. We had a 4 mile hike through the woods and this was the only light we'd brought (yes, lousy planning). But we never had a problem seeing a thing, it lit far enough ahead that we could easily find our way through the woods.

    The only downside to the Gerber LX 3.0 is the same one I've experienced with Maglites, if a battery starts to leak (recently did in ours) the battery ends up fusing to the housing and you have to send the flashlight in for repair or drill out the batteries (which I'm sure isn't recommended).
