I've only used this bag for bouldering and top roping inside since I got it. I know it's supposed to be designed for women, who presumably have smaller hands, but sometimes I find I have to wiggle my hands to even get down into the chalk, which is annoying when you're barely hanging on to a route. I haven't experienced any chalk spillage -- the cinch keeps all the chalk in, even when I just toss it into the trunk of my car. My little chalk sock fits inside, but it's not very spacious in there. Sometimes I'll cram my hand inside and come out with only a little bit of chalk on my fingertips. It might work better with loose chalk instead of a sock, though. If you're more concerned about easy access and functionality, I'd get a bigger, deeper bag, but if you just want a cute, unique bag, this is definitely the one!

I was instantly drawn to this chalk bag bc of its pattern and light weight! I use it in the gym every time Im there but as I started to take it outdoor and in instances where re-chalking needed to happen fast I found my self borrowing my friends chalk bags. Bc this bag is small and does not have an open rim Its not convenient for quick re-chalking and does not hold as much chalk as I like or need, I also found it to be a pain while bouldering and do not think it would be good at all for re-chalking while lead climbing. Its good for casual gym climbing, holds up really well and still has a pretty pattern ... Id love to see them make them bigger and with a open rim ;)
