by fromDisappointed in this equipment I have had SRAM components on my road bike for 2.5 years. Within 1 year my chain had locked up in the cage wheels of the derailleur and sheared it off the bike, thankfully not cracking my carbon frame. I find this stuff to take constant adjustment compared to my Shimano Ultegra setup on my other bike. The shifting is clunky and now my SRAM shifter has broken, which is going to cost me hundreds...of course it is just out of warranty. I'd recommend Shimano components.

by fromDoes exactly what it says on the tin This is my second SRAM Force 10-Speed Rear Derailleur. The last one, through no fault of its own, got destroyed when it ripped off the hanger and wrapped around the cassette after 1600 miles of flawless maintenance-free use. The replacement performs just as smoothly. My only complaint with what I received is that it does not match the picture or the original part in that it is a blue smoke color rather than the original grey smoke. Obviously this doesn't affect performance, but it doesn't match the other components on my monochromatic bike, and aesthetics still count. Still… awesome derailleur.
