Comments about Genuine Innovations SecondWind Mini Carbon Pump / C02 Inflator:
I purchased it enticed by the combo pump/CO2 inflation options. The pump action works well; the CO2 inflation works well. However, after limited use the piece into which the tube stem is inserted rattled off while biking. The kind folks at the bike shop replaced it for me. Next, the pump handle rattled off while biking. I don't think either should have happened, but the fact that both did suggests poor workmanship/design.

Comments about Genuine Innovations SecondWind Mini Carbon Pump / C02 Inflator:
Since there does not seem to be a way to edit or delete a review I've subsequently realized was unfair, the best I can do is make amends with a good review. After my wife rescued me by the side of the road, I tried to pump my tire using a floor pump, only to discover that the air leak I was hearing was coming not from my hand pump but from a hole in the tube that I assume was caused by other stuff rubbing against the tube in my seat bag (despite my having carefully wrapped the tube in an old cycling sock). Live and learn.
After making this discovery I retested my hand pump and it works great, whether one is using the CO2 cartridge or the hand pump. The pump employs an ingenious method of regulating air flow from the cartridge via the twisting/untwisting of the cartridge. The cartridge also doubles as the pump handle (when screwed into the other end of the pump) when you need to pump by hand. Overall, a brilliant design. But I still wish they'd included a clamp at the pump head, even at the cost of a few extra grams/$$.

Comments about Genuine Innovations SecondWind Mini Carbon Pump / C02 Inflator:
Yes, it doesn't seal too well, but throw your thumb over the tire and it'll work. Haven't used the cartridge feature, rather I use it to start filling a tube before inserting in the tire, and then a bit of pressure to be sure there are no pinches. I then get up to pressure with a cartridge on separate head. You can hand pump, but at ~75 psi you'll be getting only an inch or so of copression stroke, so it goes slow. You can get home on it tho. Be sure to carry a guage.

Comments about Genuine Innovations SecondWind Mini Carbon Pump / C02 Inflator:
I am writing this review on my iPhone while I wait for my wife to come pick me up. If you want to use this device, bring extra CO2 cartridges because the pump is useless. There's no head clamp, so it's difficult to maintain a seal while pumping, and impossible to fill a tube even to the minimal pressure needed to get home.
