Bottle is made with premium 304, 18/8 food-grade stainless steel that is toxin free
Inner surface is finished with an electrolyte charge and dolomitic sand blasting; finish is completely BPA free

Bottle fits nicely in water pouch of my Lumbar, and is very easy to pick up. Looks really nice, makes a good tight seal. Nice non slip bottom.

I did not experience the same problem the other experienced with lid removal, it may be advisable to test lid removal in store before purchase as it could vary from unit to unit.

Only gripe, it smells funny when new, be sure to rinse it out several times before using.

I bought three of these bottles to give to family as gifts - no more plastic bottles! BUT I'm returning them unused because getting the lid on and off is an amazing pain! I had to turn the lid AND try to get the loop that holds the lid on to go around at the same rate. VERY awkward and would be a challenge trying to do this one handed, say, with the bottle gripped between my knees. The lid of the Nalgene designed top turns independent of the attachment loop. This top is all one mechanism and of very poor design. I do not recommend it!

The bottle itself is larger than most, capacity-wise, which is good. However, the wide mouth and design leads to you consistently spill water out of the sides and down the front of your shirt. I had to stop using it in the office for this reason, and it's worse when you're hiking or biking, as you tend to go up fast and it spills everywhere.

In the beginning it left an aftertaste, but that went away rather soon. It keeps the water very cool. Great price, you can't seem to find cheap, reusable GOOD LOOKING waterbottles anywhere. This one was perfect, all I wanted was a simple water bottle. The lid, although a little funky, gets the job done and is air tight.

I use this as an everyday bottle for both cold and hot (with a knit sleeve) beverages. It has a good capacity but is still small enough to grip well and to take with me biking, to yoga, and on hikes. I purchased in-store and there were actually two models: one with a loop/keeper for the lid and one without. Like a previous reviewer, I also found the bottle with the keeper to be very difficult to open/close and so chose the bottle without the keeper, which functions perfectly.
