Comments about REI Flyweight Siliconized Nylon Manual Umbrella:
This is a great umbrella, would recommend it to anyone. Is it worth the price? Yes. It's quite sturdy and holds up really well in the wind. The hand grip is very comfy too.

Comments about REI Flyweight Siliconized Nylon Manual Umbrella:
I love this umbrella. It's sturdy, light and stylish. I have it for a year. I carry it in my bag at all time. And it has resisted the strong wings of New England!

Comments about REI Flyweight Siliconized Nylon Manual Umbrella:
I take care of umbrellas. I operate them gently and stow them in their sleeves. BTW, the sleeve for this umbrella is one of the best and most secure I have owned thanks to the drawstring and clip. I bought this umbrella for a European trip. The second time I opened it, open-loop wires in the canopy frame caught the edge of the fabric, threatening to poke through and rip the fabric and it occurred more than once. Despite my being careful about this, I believe this design flaw is the reason a rib failed.
With careful care, not being used in windy conditions and being stowed properly, one of the fiberglass ribs began to break after only four uses. It was still usable as reasonable shelter until the rib completely severed. I had to buy another umbrella overseas. I used it for no more than three lightly-rainy days. It is a big disappointment.
