Comments about Giro Seam Ski Helmet:
This helmet is shockingly fragile - I clipped it to the outside of my backpack on the way to the mountain, and by the time I got there, it was totally scratched up and dinged! Just from being in transit for an hour! I hadn't even put it on yet.

Comments about Giro Seam Ski Helmet:
This would be perfect except when you put the goggles up they just fall off the back side held only by the goggle strap... Probably an issue with all/most helmets... Vents really well, skied in 40 degree spring condition and was ready to call it a day as was getting a little warm, but that's at the absolute high end.. so yep that's it... love the helmet, just wish when you push the goggles up, they didn't flip to the back of the helmet... Probably nit picking this... but overall, pretty happy with helmet.

Comments about Giro Seam Ski Helmet:
I upgraded from a banged up G9 and find the Seam more comfortable over my ears. The twist adjustment knob and padded chin strap are also nice enhancements, however my only complaint is my head would become SUPER cold bombing down runs with the vents closed. I fiddled around with the helmet and couldn't get it sorted, maybe air was blasting in the gap between my (Zeal) goggles and the helmet.

Comments about Giro Seam Ski Helmet:
I bought this for my petite teen daughter, who has a small, narrow head with too much height for a child's helmet. Not only did nothing else come close to fitting, but the smallest Giro "Seam" fits perfectly. The adjustment band dialed in easily and exactly, the earpads were centered, and she is delighted with the snug, lightweight fit. The slide adjuster to open or close the vents is pretty spiffy. The helmet even comes with optional cranial pads to make it sit higher on the head and accommodate large goggles, if necessary. We only wish it came in bright colors (turquoise would be fun), so her dad can spot her more easily on the slopes. Photo shows red, but REI had no red on hand, so we took black.

Comments about Giro Seam Ski Helmet:
The Seam is a great helmet.
I've used it riding snowboard as well as biking at night, even though I don't recommend it for biking(padding to keep your ears warm makes it hard to hear cars)
It's light, comfortable, packed with features, and formed exceptionally well. The fit system and adjustment wheel is really nice, I can adjust it with gloves on and it has a great press in clutch type function that feels much higher quality than the other helmets I tried.
The vents work really well, I never got any goggle fog and I was not overheating at 37 degrees f in the afternoon after riding front and backsides at the pass.
I love the style and look of the Matte Pewter finish and it fits my cheap smith goggles very well. Comfy and I feel like it's very protective. Well worth the money.
Of course, it's not the lightest thing out there but for the type of riding I do it's perfect.

Comments about Giro Seam Ski Helmet:
Perfect helmet!! I tried them all on and this one takes the prize. Best fit with with the lowest profile look. I don't like having a big bucket look on my dome. The helmet has stellar adjustments that make it fit perfectly. And with the vent adjustments you can let your mellon breath when it gets warm out. I was set on buying the Maze but when I tried them at the store there really wasn't any comparison. The extra $60 is worth it for the Seam. Great helmet.
