I got this in October '09 and have used it on and off commuting to work and carrying quite a bit of stuff (shoes, change of clothes, lunch). It swallows everything easily, but also works pretty well with a smaller amount of stuff in it. Overall it's a solid design, and I like the little touches like the loop for a taillight and clip for keys in an outside pocket. The strap adjuster is also really easy to adjust on the fly, but doesn't slip.

My one small gripe with it is that if you aren't carrying a lot and you tighten it all the way, the strap adjuster can dig into your side a bit. A little readjusting can usually fix it, but it's something to note. I'd look for a smaller bag if you don't plan on filling this at least halfway most of the time.

I bought this bag (black/black/black) since I have been a collector of Timbuk2 bags for years, and this bag really got my attention since it is made of recyclable materials. When I got it from the store, I never thought that it had a laptop sleeve and the texture was so elegant looking that it looked way different from my other messenger bags.

This has become my favorite messenger bag so far. I mainly use it to bring along my 13" MacBook Pro to school, and also insert my huge Biology book, or camera inserts/pads for my DSLR and lenses.

I just wish it had a more durable fabric and foam at the bottom of the bag like the Timbuk2 Commute and the Patagonia Critical Mass.

This is an almost perfect bag and I highly recommend this for its features, looks and texture, included laptop sleeve, environmental friendly materials, and the typical Timbuk2 durability that will last for years.
