The padding on these tights is huge! It has no anatomical consideration at all...just a flat piece of padding...and I felt like I was wearing an adult diaper!
I'm 5'5", and these tights were too long.

I bought this pair of tights for riding in 50 degree weather in the San Francisco bay area. These tights, worn underneath a pair of shorts kept me me decently warm in 40 something degree windy weather but it won't work if the temperature gets lower than that. There is no fleece lining and the padding is very light, but that works out well for me since I always wear shorts over these tights. I have worn these on long road rides as well as on mountain trials. These are definitely not fancy durable tights but for the price, they work well as a base layer.

These tights will not make it to my cold-day-to-ride wardrobe. There's no fleecy lining, so they're not really that warm, or wind-blocking. Also, they don't fit well. The chamois shifts around and gets all bunched up. Sorry, REI, I'm returning these and saving my money for the Pearl Izumis.

I'm very pleased with these tights. The fit is excellent--comfortable and just the right amount of compression. I am especially happy with the 29" inseam. I'm 5'9" and sometimes I have issues with things being too short so my heart skipped a beat when I put them on the first time. I'm very new to cycling so I don't have much to compare them to, except to say that I'm happy I purchased them.
