After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly. Contact your nearest REI bike shop for details and an appointment for this important service.

by Scott the Bike NutfromSolid Bike for the urban warriorBought the 2009 version at the local REI so I could take it to Afghanistan. [...] it is perfect for the rugged conditions here. Like the other reviewer, I find the stem too short (I have the Large size) but I found a stem extender online and that seems to work. I will probably purchase a suspension seatpost in the near future to smooth out the bumps.

by enzobytefromOne bad little moto scooterI was shopping for an urban or metro bike while my Fisher was in the shop for a broken frame. I dropped by one of my local REI stores and took a look the bikes in stock and 2 of my favorites where on closeout. I test rode the Cannondale Quick 2 and the Novara Buzz V. The Quick 2 is an awesome bike... light and fast, but it was a little high in price for my needs. The Buzz on the other hand is durable and funky with its flat black and flat fenders. This is a bike that can take a beating. My only slight complaint is the weight is fairly heavy if you are used to aluminum or CF. CroMo is the way to go for the ultimate durability though. This thing is a tank. Fit and finish are good to great [...]. Now, time to "street" this Buzz bike a little... :)

by simba2fromGreat Bike for Tight BudgetI have the 2009 Buzz-V and I love it. I use it to get around, go to work, or just to bike down the beach.
I recommend this bike for anyone on a tight budget, but still looking for a great bike.

by brit cyclistfromstrong, durable street bikeI used this bike last year to commute in Oakland, CA and it really is the best bike I've ever had. It has such a strong durable frame, to tackle the worst of road conditions. In addition the thick and rugged tires with roll over any road imperfections and are excellent in the rain. I love the grip shift gear changing and I don't know of any other bike out there at such an affordable price.

by Timothy HerkimerfromNever leaves my side.Being a truck driver, I've hauled a few different bikes on the back of my truck. this bike has out lasted my last two, for a few different reasons. Nothing loosens from being bounced down the road, and the hardware stays working even after being exposed to the elements.
Have had this bike for nine months now, piled 400 miles on it with just one tune up, which made the ride "dreamy" again.
Just in the last week put 75 miles on it,in 5 different states. It's been my best road/street bike I've ever had.
