      Comments about Rossignol X-5 NNN Cross-Country Boots - Men's:

Note - While you may find that the sizing chart for these boots on REI differs from some other sizing charts on other websites, I actually found REI's to be very accurate. I normally wear a 9-1/2, and so according to REI's sizing chart, I ordered a 44. After placing the order, I consulted a few other websites, all of which said that these boots in a 44 equate to a men's size 10 to 10-1/2, which would have been too big for me. However, when the boots arrived, they fit perfectly.

      Comments about Rossignol X-5 NNN Cross-Country Boots - Men's:

Qualification: I have wide feet, and have had problems with running shoes irritating my ankle bones.
This boot fit great, and I loved the lace locks (instead of having to tie laces). The ankle support looked like overkill for touring boots, but I didn't worry about it after getting a comfortable fitting boot. After one 30min ski, my right ankle hurt. I went out two days later and didn't even wrap the velcro through the ankle guard...it still rubbed against my ankle bone. It was so irritated that I couldn't wear boots for a week.
So...be very careful about this boot. Make sure that the ankle guard fits loosely, because it is stiff and will rub (causing bruising).

        Comments about Rossignol X-5 NNN Cross-Country Boots - Men's:

There is a little bit of process to putting these on, but once on they're great. I can break trail, ski classic-style in the trail, skate where it's groomed, etc. all day in these. Really good ankle support that is infinitely adjustable, being hook-&-loop closure, so if I want to skate, no problem.

And, in contrast to my previous boots/bindings, these do not allow snow to compact into annoying chunks between foot and ski, even when breaking trail. Boots stay centered over skis. Really happy with these boots.

          Comments about Rossignol X-5 NNN Cross-Country Boots - Men's:

This boot/sole was comfortable, dry and warm for an all day back country ski. Normal white sport sox were all that was worn.
Only issue is the flexing area of the right boot.
The "top" of the right boot, behind your little toe, bends/flexs sharply into the top of your toe/foot. The left boot bends/flexs perfectly behind your toes,no problems!
Easy "on an off",speedy laces, excellant ankle support...I love these boots!
