I've had these for over a year now...worn them so much I had expected them to start falling apart soon, but they show no signs of doing so. I was initially concerned about the part leather sole getting damaged by water but they've seen warm weather, hot weather, heavy rain, light rain...very versatile shoes. The leather on the sole does not actually contact the ground directly, as there are rubber nobby platforms on the bottom, but like I said, there have been no problems at all.

They are amazing traveling shoes, as you can slip them on or off in a snap. You'll be the first one out of TSA security checks every time!

Another thing...I do wear them barefoot most of the time and remarkably, they breathe so well that there really is no trace of foot odors in the shoe. I don't know how they do it, but bravo.

The toe box is on the wider side and if anything adds to the comfort of the shoes.

Lastly, and most importantly, I love that the heel back of the shoe converts down to turn the shoe into a clog style without any damage to the materials. Very cool design implementation.

Very comfy. Bought for Euro travel with emphasis on lots of walking. Easy on/off for plane flight and good support for walking. Simple, plain styling that's OK. Would prefer something a little more original, but the comfort/style balance works.

I love my Olu Kai dress flips and these are worthy of the line except...they seem to be a bit sizey. That is, I think they run about a half-size too big and they are pretty wide so my d-width foot slides a bit in them. It may be just the width that I am reacting to, but I probably would try a half-size smaller than you typically wear in casual shoes or use your dress shoe size if it is 1/2 size smaller like mine tends to be.

I have not worn these in rain but I suspect like any good leather soled dress shoe, they would probably get wet and maybe even leak through to the sock if the weather is bad enough. You are walking on a couple of plastic pieces so there is not much between you and the road. I also wonder if they can be re-soled. I kind of doubt it.

Still, a good casual shoe, especially if you can work with the sizing a bit, which is hard using mail-order on REI.

Bought this closed-toe shoe on sale a year or so back and haven't needed another pair of shoes since. I loved my flops, but needed an office shoe that paired with khakis or jeans. These are it. They are made well, wear well, and have the Olukai comfort you grow to expect from their flops.

I hope they continue with shoe designs as I'd love to have a more dressy version of these. Not quite 'on the town' shoes unless you live on the West Coast.

In previous postings these have been described as a half to full size too big. In my experience, that's not true. They may be a half size too big at best. Additionally they are pretty uncofomrtable for walking more than a short distance.

I wear a 12 in running shoes. These appear to run a 1/2 size big. An 11.5 fit me best especially length-wise while appearing fairly snug around the bulk of my foot. A pleasure to wear.

Like all Olukai shoes, these are very well-made and should last a long time. Unfortunately the sizing is at least a full size off (too big), which makes online ordering a trial-and-error process. Make sure you try them on before ordering, and get a size that you can wear with or without socks.
