Comments about Teva Riva eVent Shoes - Men's:
I'm on my 4th consecutive pair of these Teva Riva eVents. This is the first time they had the charcoal color, so to change it up that's what I got.
I am technically a measured size 12. I found a couple years ago that the 13's fit me better than the 12's. I did have a leg injury that made my left foot somewhat larger than the right so the larger size is much more comfortable.
The shoes literally stick to my heal, which is what stuck out (no pun intended) when I first started wearing them. Unquestionably the best shoe I've ever owned. It says a lot for me to purchase this pretty high priced shoes once a year, and those being the same shoes every year the past 4 years. I do like to use my member 20 percent and dividend towards them to make it hurt the wallet a little less. I generally only buy one pair of shoes a year anyways, maybe two every third year since I need new boots every now and again.
I'm actually a total TEVA convert now. I really only wear TEVA except for my Merrill sandals. I also have a pair of TEVA convertible clogs. I will be purchasing the TEVA closed toe sandals for my next sandal purchase.
Obviously, everyone's feet different shoes in different ways, but these have been perfect for me. If you're hemming and hawing, then go for the Teva Riva.

Comments about Teva Riva eVent Shoes - Men's:
I bought these as an all around shoe for when I travel. I like to hike, I don't like to pack multiple pairs of shoes. The eVent is very stable, tough, and breathes fairly well given it is waterproof. I haven't tested the waterproof abilities. One issue, for me, is that the heal is slightly higher, and stiffer, than some of my other shoes, and tore the skin on my Achilles tendon while I was breaking them in. After building up a callous they seem fine (still taking some care). They are also slightly narrow (for me) in the regular size, more "true to width" than some other shoes.

Comments about Teva Riva eVent Shoes - Men's:
I bought these because I was going on a vacation with the family to Zion National Park and wanted a versatile light hiker that I could also wear casually. I couldn't be happier. While I don't know that I'd call these stylish, they are far from ugly and I was able to use them as my main pair of shoes for the trip, including going out (though not to anyplace too fancy).
As for active uses, I wore them to climb to the top of Angel's Landing and scamper around on the red rock, including walking up a pretty steep sandstone face. They were comfortable but very stable and stuck to the terrain reliably. I also accompanied my wife on a 10.5 mile run (she's training for a marathon). These aren't running shoes, but they were comfortable and supportive enough for a long jog, and I also used them in hotel fitness rooms on treadmills.
So, instead of taking a pair of running shoes, a pair of casual everyday shoes and a pair of hiking shoes, I just took these. I'd recommend them highly
Service and delivery comments:
The associate who helped me at the Pittsburgh South Side Works store was totally patient and helpful, and I enjoyed the experience. I have found this to be generally true of this store.

I use it for flat trail hiking and rock hiking. it holds to the surface i am climbing onto. reliable and lightweight. Pros: was able to put them right on and go. Cons: not really due to the shoe...blisters on back end of foot, but more due to sub par socks..defintely need good cushioning. I use these for hiking at least 3 times a week and i have had them for over a month now.

I purchased these shoes for my husband. He has wider than average feet and has had a terrible time finding comfortable shoes. These shoes are comfortable enough that he wears them casually and even when skate shoes would be an appropriate option.
They look very stylish, are well made, and he is wearing them frequently.

This is my first pair of hiking shoes, so weigh my review accordingly. I purchased these prior to my winter trip to Korea, hoping they'd a) be comfortable, b) be durable, and c) keep my feet warm and dry in the Korean snow. Let's just say -- mission accomplished. They were surprisingly comfortable right out of the box. I didn't feel the stiffness of the shoe until a few days later, expressed as some minor foot/arch fatigue (this after spending a full 12 hour day walking around the city). I spent a month and a half in the country and they still look great. A good, rugged shoe. I have no complaints. (I'm reserving a star to see how well they break in and wear while in Alaska in a month.)

Third pair of Tevas that I have owned, all very comfortable, good support, great styling. I have enjoyed them all, but this pair is really great, bought them one day, flew to France the next day, walked the streets for the next 30 days, averaged seven miles a day, the shoes could not have been more comfortable. Even wore them out to dinner most nights, my dress shoes stayed in the closet. Just a great pair of hiking/walking shoes.

Comments about Teva Riva eVent Shoes - Men's:
This is one of those rare pairs of shoes that fit me comfortably - the toe box is roomy without being sloppy, and while they took a few days to break in, they are now very comfortable (especially with replacement insoles). They are sturdy, grip well, and are water-proof, all of which is useful in Seattle winter. I'll see how they do when the weather warms up.
