Comments about The North Face WindStopper Neck Gaiter:
Whenever the temperature drops below freezing and I know I'll be spending any extended amount of time outdoors, this is the first thing I put on.
This neck gaiter is long enough not to come untucked. The adjustable elastic string top keeps the top right where you put it, and comfortably so.
The Windstopper material does it's job, keeping the cold winter winds from getting through. It also gives the gaiter some form and keeps it from drooping or sliding off your chin when pulled up.
I've owned mine since 2001, it looks and works like the day I bought it. I would and often do recommend it to others. In fact I'm purchasing it as a gift for a family member this year.
The only thing that might considered a drawback is that it is not entirely breathable when cinched tight over your month and nose. But what could one expect? If you need that much protection, consider a baclava.
If you do pull it up that far, and occasionally I still do, sunglasses or eye-glasses may fog-up. By leaving it below my nose I don't experience this issue.
I haven't tried the other neck gaiters, but that said, nor do I ever intend to. You pay a premium for all TNF products, but in my opinion, this one is well justified.
