I love these shoes. I just returned from a week long trip to Chicago which included all of the museums and lots of city walking. I wore these shoes every day and my feet never complained. When I returned I noticed that I did lose a button so I don't know how difficult that will be to replace. When I purchased these I did go up a size from what I typically wear in Dansko shoes. I usually wear 39, but this style was a little short. I purchased both a 39 and a 40 and wore them both around the house before I settled on the 40s. My feet are narrow and the 40s were a little wide on me, so I wear a cushioned Smartwool sock with these shoes. I also added a thin Spenco insole (which I do for many shoes in my closet that don't come in narrow widths). The result is a very comfortable and very, very cute shoe that looks great with all pants. I haven't had a problem with the leather scratching. I've owned them for six months and they still look new - aside from the missing button which I hope will be easily replaced.

The button popped off the first pair(Black) within three days so I returned them for a red pair. The black pair scuffed so easily in the first wearing, I hoped the red pair would be be more durable or show wear less but this was not case. The button has now popped of the red pair and I will soon be returning them also. These shoes have a very poor quality finish and the button details come off. DO not buy these shoes. Do not be fooled by the comfort and style like I was. These are not like the Danskos I have owned in the past.

PROS:I bought these shoes right before I went on vacation. I am an actice 33 year old mother and traveled two weeks in Germany on cobbled roads and in a little rain. The sole is very comfortable and I never got any blisters. The leather is very durable and my feet never got wet. It was 50 degrees and they stayed warm. You should test them with different types of socks you will be wearing because it really makes a difference in how they fit. The heal is higher from the professional fit and my ankle wobbled on the cobblestone roads.
CONS: If you have high arches like myself, stay away from these. Because of my high arches or the fact that my feet are so narrow, I had some foot pain on the top of my foot and in my arch. I am going to stick with a shoe that sticks to my foot while walking or is more flat. Also, the leather started fraying after two weeks at the tip of the shoe where the stitching is. I don't know if this was from my travels or if it would continue to fray around the entire shoe after wearing more often.

Love these shoes. They look great with jeans, casual slacks, or scrubs. The width is a quite similar to the Professional, however the heal/back area is a bit more narrow than the professional.

I had been looking at these for a long time for both work comfort shoes (during winter months) and out-on-the-town in the NW shoes, before finally deciding to finally purchase them. They are super cute and versitile, can work with jeans, cords, REI hiking pants or even skirts and dresses. Loved them as soon as I got them. However, they front ends scuff EXTREMELY easily. The leather is very very thin and the surface scuffs off to reveal a white material underneath. I have had mine for six months and they still fit fantastically, but because of the scuffing, they appear to be much older and less professional. It's frustrating because leather polish doesn't work and just tends to scuff them more. If scuffed up ends don't bother you and you just need comfortable, every day, cute-as-can-be clogs, these should work fine!

I recently bought these in black and they look great with work pants or jeans. The sole is comfortable and provides great cushioning with a heel (which was my goal). However, I have been wearing these for 2 weeks and still have not been able to break them in since the leather is very stiff. The heel cuts into you and so does the top of the shoe. I like the other features so I am hoping these will break in soon. Also, after a few days of wearing them the right shoe squeaks loudly every time I walk; it is embarassing. I am debating returning them for a shoe that doesn't squeak but I just spent 2 weeks trying to break them in. I agree with other reviewers to try on several shoes of the same size b/c I had to swap shoes from different boxes to get two that felt similar in size.

I was glad to read that someone else had a problem with her high instep. I own several pairs of Danskos and was horribly disappointed with this pair. The top of my right foot would incur such pain from walking in the shoe that I have now relegated the shoe for days that I mostly stand.

I am very annoyed that I bought shoes for over $100 and the buttons popped off both sides in under 6 months. I expect more from Dansko. Toe box also easily scuffed.

I bought these a year ago in black and wrote a glowing review. But after I had them a few months, the covering on the buttons started rubbing off and revealed white underneath. I now have to use shoe polish on the buttons every few times I wear them. The rest of the shoe looks great, and they're still cute and comfy, but I wouldn't buy this style with buttons again.
