Comments about Keen Skyline WP Shoes - Kids' Size 8 - 13:
My nearly 5-year-old daughter has had two pairs of Keen hikers in the past, and we just love them! She wears them to school, can wear them in rain/snow, and they are our favorite camping/hiking shoes! This being her third pair, and never needing a "break in" period with the others, she hit the trail with a brand new pair and hiked 5 miles (her longest hike yet) without any foot problems!

Comments about Keen Skyline WP Shoes - Kids' Size 8 - 13:
I purchased these for my 3-year old for hiking and biking. I had high hopes because of the water-proof element and durability reputation. They are decent for biking (balance biking, that is) because they are so stiff, foot braking is great. However, for walking and hiking they are awful. An otherwise nimble-footed boy is encumbered by the stiffness of these shoes. Perhaps in larger sizes, the soles flex more (his were size 10). As it is, these shoes are unwearable and franlky, a little dangerous because they cause so much stumbling!

Comments about Keen Skyline WP Shoes - Kids' Size 8 - 13:
Last month, when my daughter desperately needed new runners, we found only one runner that fit her foot, was comfortable and available in her size at REI. Usually after a couple of weeks of wear, my daughter will complain that the shoe hurts. With this shoe, she actually volunteered the fact that she really liked it and that it was comfortable. Now, I see that it is on sale so I will buy another one and go through the trouble of crossing the border just to pick it up.

I bought them for my 5 year old son to use for backpacking and hiking. He says they are comfortable and had never once complained about his feet hurting. We have been on a hiking trip and a backpacking trip both hiking several miles each. He has never complained and they seem to be holding up well.

Comments about Keen Skyline WP Shoes - Kids' Size 8 - 13:
I got these shoes for my 4 year old and they were great. He can put them on and take them off by himself. They are all weather shoes, easy to clean and I resold them at a consignment shop. I am about to get my now 5 year old another pair because they were so great last year. I would highly recommend them. Keens do seem to run just a bit small so if your child is in between order a size up.
