The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Osprey Meridian Wheeled Convertible Pack - 28'':
I bought this pack to travel to Italy and I couldn't be happier. With it completely loaded, including the day pack, it only weighed about 40 lbs, and I used compression bags. All the handles are great, especially when trying to snag it off the baggage claim carousel. The backpack was great when trying to maneuver from the airport to hotel. Everything is very secure while zipped up to ward off theft, yet easy enough to get into. The wheels worked great on the choppy roads in Italy, and I was also able to attach a Osprey Porter 46 to the front with ease.

Comments about Osprey Meridian Wheeled Convertible Pack - 28'':
I purchased this bag from REI and it was used on two separate month long backpacker's adventures in New Zealand (lots of rain)and several other trips including 3 weeks in China. The model I bought was then a closeout at the Berkeley store(a discontinued but unique and sturdy dark purple colour)purchased in 2006.I like most that it has been so durable (i.e.tugged and pulled up and down countless stairs in multi-storied non-elevator backpackers without a problem despite being a bit over-packed at times), easily distinguished on airline arrival carousels world-over and lightweight yet with plenty of storage space for month-long plus adventure packing. I also bought a companion large messager type bag which is more commodious than the attached backpack. A perfect under seat on-board piece which provides crush resistant protection for my electronics and other carry on items. In case the larger checked bag were to be lost, I also carry a jacket and change of clothes in this commodious bag. Worth every penny of the premium initial purchase price for this versatile bag especially considering that when I sent it into Osprey for repairs I discovered that it was fully and cheerfully warrantied! Great company!

Comments about Osprey Meridian Wheeled Convertible Pack - 28'':
I am a humanitarian aid worker who bought this pack over 3 years ago to travel all over the world in every continent in every situation; the cities of Europe to the Congolese jungle. It does what it says, that is durable, and great suspension. I climbed mountains with it and have taken through Paris. However, I hope for improvements. Probably because of the great suspension it wastes a lot of space and is heavy. For being someone who sometimes needs to pack for more than 6 months I wish for the size and weight it fit more things. Many times I have a 20kg limit and the pack takes up a lot of that, not to mention the suspension leaves of empty bulky space that is difficult to fill, ie. wasted space. Overall great bag, it is the best out there. I just hope they can improve on it.

I have had this bag for about 1 year. I travel for business multiple times a year and it holds up well. I use it for personal trips as well. This is the most durable piece of luggage I have owned.

Comments about Osprey Meridian Wheeled Convertible Pack - 28'':
I went abroad to study and decided to use this bag as my check-in. The bag has a good amount of space and plenty of pockets. It is VERY lightweight for all of its features. I packed it full and was still under the maximum limit. The only problem with this bag that I can find is that it has a tendency to tip backwards when full. This is at worst a bit of an annoyance but nothing too serious. Overall a good bag.

Comments about Osprey Meridian Wheeled Convertible Pack - 28'':
I have now taken my Osprey Meridian set on a trip to Asia and a trip to South America. I can pack everything I need for a month in these two bags with room to spare to bring home a few souvenirs. The best thing is that the two qualify as carry-on! There are plenty of zipped compartments keeping organization clean and simple. I look forward to many years of travel with my Osprey Meridian!
