Sizing is based on girth and length. For girth, measure around the widest part of your dog's rib cage. For length, measure from base of dog's neck to the base of tail. Sizing is as follows:

  • Small: 23 - 30 inch girth, 16 inch length

    Got this for our 22 pound cockapoo. He is a decent swimmer to begin with but we are planning a trip out to a large lake with a bunch of other family dogs who are practically fish so we figured we should get him a little help in the swimming department. I must say the item looks and felt great much better than anything I have seen at petsmart or petco. It feels sturdy and well made. We did a test run with it at a local creek where the water gets to be about 3-4 feet deep. Our little guy did great. He was able to swim longer than he normally does since he didn't have to work to keep afloat. I highly recommend for those of you looking to add a little buoyancy to your pooch.

      I decided to see how my 45 pound 10 year old dog, Molly, would take to a weekend of camping and canoeing. She has never been, nor is fond of being in the water.
      She had trouble finding her sea legs and fell right over the side of the canoe. If it weren't for the handle on the back, it would have been very difficult getting her back in the canoe. Worth every penny. It didn't bind, yet fit snug. She didn't complain and could move freely.
