by eastsiderfromstupid zipper!I am trying very hard to like this jacket. The shirred pockets are cute, the longer than usual sleeves with the thumb holes are great, and it is a thin, non-bulky fleece material.
But the zipper is annoying. First, if you zip it all the to the top to the higher than usual mockneck, it is stiff and is not comfortable if you plan to move your head around; the zipper feels like a plant stake in front that flexes and bends into your throat. And even if you don't move your head around, it is still uncomfortable because the neck goes all the way up to your chin.
Then, in terms of aesthetics, the zipper keeps insisting on waving in the front. If you are always standing very straight, no problem. If you sit or slouch, then it insists on waving out between your belly button and chest, and over the gut. It doesn't allow the jacket to drape and move naturally as a thin fleece material would be expected to.
There is a lot of stiff seaming alongside the zipper on both sides and it just makes for an unpleasant wearing experience that doesn't look flattering.
Also, the princess seaming is shaped for people whose chest sit a little lower; they press down on the top of my chest (and I'm 40, they aren't level with my armpits anymore), and the jacket feels tight across the shoulders and upper arms. Going up a size, then I look like I have a thick waist and gut (and I haven't got either). Notice the gal in the video doesn't zip hers all the way up!

by Not NecessaryfromJust good for toodling around townPros:
This jacket has a stylish fit. It's slim and long, and the rouched pockets and princess seaming give it a more feminine look than other sporty fleece jackets. The thumb holes are nice, and add some length to the sleeves. When the thumb holes aren't used, the sleeves gather slightly, which "works" with the look for the rouched pockets.
The pockets are handwarmer pockets and not for storing things. A cell phone will pop out easily.
The elastic trim around the thumb hole is not the softest and may chafe if you're out on a long run.
My biggest complaint is that when the zipper is all the way up, it's stiff in front, as is the trim around the edge. It feels like you are wearing a lightweight cardboard collar. It's quite a high collar, as well, which would have been great for keeping warm if it wasn't so uncomfortable. If you have a short neck, be even more wary.
Overall, it's nice to wear around town or by the campfire, and it's less expensive than many TNF fleece jackets. However, for a long run or hike, or winter sports where it would be great to have the zip all the way up, not so great.

by spunkysmurffromThin and light but warmOverall great but it does run long (falls below my hip). The sleeves are a little long too. Although I'm petite, I fit into other regular size XS North Face jackets that do not run as long. But since it's so cozy, dries fast, the silhouette is flattering, and it warms me up quickly without the bulk, I'm keeping it. I also like its unique details like the thumb holes and ruched pockets.

by Shutterbug BuddyfromGreat Laying Fleece!Micro fleece is very good for layering. This was main reason for purchase. Use it under my rain jacket. Layers nice with out the added bulk. Rushing is stylish so looks good on its own too for cool days. The thumb holes are useful. I find the sleeve to be too long! I am short 5'2" and they are like 3 inches too long. I am still keeping it i can live with that but it pretty much renders the thumb holes useless for me =o[ I think they should run a line for petite people.

by BluefrogfromGreat Jacket!Ordered this for when my 3/4 zip northface fleece gets annoying...sometimes you just need a full zipper. This seems a little more lightweight. I love the extra long sleeves and the thumb hole. It looks very cute with the tapered waist look, but it isn't binding at all. I usually am an extra small, but the XS was a little too small to layer over a tight long sleeve shirt. I replaced it with a Small and its perfect...depends on what you're using it for I suppose.

by SarahAnnefromGreat FleeceThis is a great layer, I just personally don't like the thumb holes on the sleeves.

by wildhorsefromSmart, attractive, functionalBought this jacket while I was home in Maine for the Summer. It rained all the time and I was chilled constantly. Bought this sweater and it proved itself time and time again. Warm, attractive and washable. I could wear it to do whatever I wanted without concern of dirt or strain (unlike wool). I just bought another one in a different color. It's practical and useful. A great layering piece for many occasions.

by SharonClearfromBuy it!I received the black hoodie like this a year ago as a gift and liked it. But this one is thicker and has longer sleeves that fit much better. It's a must have that is extremely comfortable.
