Comments about OllyDog Dog Pack - Medium - Special Buy:
Have this for my 47 LB Boxer/Lab Mix. The pack is great, fits water, bowls and treats/toys well. Holds enough that i could overload my dog, but small enoguh that nothing rattles too much.
The one issue is the front strap occasionally comes looser (maybe once or twice per hour), causing the pack to move back on the dog. Could be easily fixed if i sewed the strap.

Comments about OllyDog Dog Pack - Medium - Special Buy:
Wasn't sure if this pack would fit my dog properly. He has a larger chest area. But, it fit perfect! He is a medium 1/2 cattle dog 1/2 doberman. About 50 lbs. He seems very comfortable in it.

Comments about OllyDog Dog Pack - Medium - Special Buy:
Been through a cpl. packs and this one is the best we've had so far. Thought our 65lb. boxer would need a lrg. but after reading other reviews decided on med. instead & it fits perfect. The pack has 2 lrg. compartments for dog essentials. Although we haven't had it very long it seems very durable, has plenty of adjustments to fit most med. breeds even ones with a larger chest. Pack will need a cpl. adjustments on extended hikes/walks to keep it from shifting but which pack doesn't? Quality pack at a great price.

Comments about OllyDog Dog Pack - Medium - Special Buy:
I'll use this for backpack trips for his food and maybe a beer for me. This will replace a 10-YO pack that a marmot ruined the zipper. Needless to say the old pack wasn't on my dog when the marmot visited.
Each side pack has three straps connecting it to the flexible top panel. These straps can be lengthened to lower each side on the dogs ribs. This would also lower the front chest strap. Clever-Yes, necessary?
The two pack straps have an elastic band so you can roll-up the excess strap, similar to the common Velco tabs on a day pack strap.
I'm wondering if all the "Bells & Whistles" of this pack aren't too much, time will tell. However, an excellent value given REI's price.
My dog is not fond of carrying a pack, but he loves backpacking so he soon forgets the pack.
