The "describe yourself" options in here aren't the greatest - I'm in my 40s and have been an inline skater since late 1990. I have done several inline marathons and organized street skates (and bike paths, of course), but I am not "aggressive" in the sense of skating stairs, railings, hanging off buses, etc. :)
Anyway, I have the previous year's version of this skate and it is perfect all-around for the intermediate-level skater. The wheels are large enough to reach and maintain decent speed (I average 12-15 mph), yet the skate is still maneuverable. Also, in my opinion, this is about as long of a frame as you can go and still get decent leverage/use out of the brake. I guess that's what makes this ideal if you're only going to have one pair of skates - long enough frame to take the "bumps" and keep momentum, but short enough to brake effectively when necessary.
The other nice part about most Rollerblade skates it that it has a removable inner liner that can pass for a "shoe" when using skates to run errands (since many places still don't allow skates indoors). Also, the laces allow a proper fit in the foot, but the ratchet at the ankle is nice for when you need to tighten up a little after you've warmed up. Plus, when you have to take the skates off to run inside, you can tie the laces together, swing them over your shoulder, and they are (mostly) out of your way.
