First off I'm a guy and didn't realize this bag is sold as a woman's item when I got it. I fell in love with it while shopping one day, bought it and have been using it every day since. Great concept for a man but I can see how it's a great organzing tool for women as well. A lot of thought went into designing the compartments and ergonomics of this bag. Awesome quality, great utility (can wear it as a waist bag as well), and it just looks good. I'm a serious cyclist and have even found a use there as well. I bought a second bag for my girlfriend and she loves it as well.

I also did not realize when I purchased this bag yesterday that Overland's primary focus is women's bags until I got home and Googled Overland Equipment.

That said, the Bayliss bag works well for men too. 1st, the build quality and materials are superb, 2nd, the design is clever, flexible, and functional. Finally, at the ripe age off 65, I believe this durable bag will outlive me.

BTW, I bought the coffee bean color, I personalized this bag by hanging keys off the shoulder strap and replacing three of the four zipper pulls.

I plan to use my Bayliss bag as my every day carry (EDC) bag. Finally, this small bag helped me eliminate having to carry a wallet

I am guy who also didn't realize up front that this bag is designed for a woman: my girlfriend didn't realize it at first either, but when she saw the bazillion little pockets she realized what it was and told me. Still, we both liked how it looked appropriate on me and I got it.

I have used this everyday for 4 months now, worn around my waist in the "fanny pack" configuration. In the front flap pocket I keep my keys on the little snap lanyard do-bod, a 4Sevens Preon 1 AAA flashlight, a Leatherman Skeletool, and spare change. This flap is anchored by two magnets and does not come undone by accident. I have even taken spills on a little trail motorbike in excess of 20 mph, gotten up and found everything still secure in its place in this pocket. In the second double-zippered pocket I keep a pen, wallet, cell phone, and receipts. In the largest single-zippered pocket I keep a lighter, nail file, chapstick, and--when I want--my Canon S95. Fully loaded with the camera it can be a bit bulky on the hips, but it is still manageable. Since I didn't carry my wallet or cell phone with me on a daily basis, its size and weight felt perfect.

I recently worked on a ranch in the Mojave Desert for 2 months, again wearing it everyday. It stood up to the aforementioned motorbike crashes, and everyday use and abuse. Just about every guy there mentioned how handy it was as I could produce what was needed (postage stamps) in a moments notice.

This is a terrific little purse. I was a little worried about it because it doesn't really have room to fit a wallet. However, it has plenty of slots for credit cards, ID, cash, etc. which allowed me to just give up my wallet. All the little organizer pockets work great for my cell phone, glasses and other odds and ends. This is a small bag but it's rare that I'm unable to fit in things that I need. Also, it's comfortable to carry and stays on my shoulder quite well.

I bought this for a two week motorcycle trip down the west coast. I needed something compact and practical. Towards the end of the trip I realized I could wear it while riding two up on the bike, which made it even more convenient to get to my sunglasses and camera. I was able to organize my credit cards, cash, comb, sunscreen, lip balm, sunglasses and my point and shoot camera. Having three compartments is great for organizing. The magnetic closure in the front is very convenient, yet the items feel well secured. This bag is super comfortable and light. I have been searching for a dressier purse with the similar design because I love this so much. My only disappointment is that the strap is too long for me to wear it around my waist . I am 5'3" 125 lbs. size 4/6 with a small waist. Other than that, I love it!

This bag was so much more attractive in person than in the pictures. It also is one of the most comfortable shoulder bags I've ever worn. I always wear my bags across my body and this one sits so comfortably on my hip b/c of it's shape. I no longer use a wallet due to all the compartments and I'm able to fit everything I need and then some in this compact little bag! I do tend to be a light traveler though!

I bought this bag for travelling. It was perfect. It had lots of compartments for everything. I was travelling to different countries, and I could put my different currencies in seperate pockets to keep my money seperated. It easily fit my camera and other essentials you want to get at quickly while travelling. The only thing was the straps were too long to make it a fanny pack.

I waited awhile before purchasing this bag because I thought it would be to small. I've had one for about a month now and I love it. I know exactly where everything is and can stay organized. I'm a smaller lady and the bag hugs nicely to my hip and isn't bulky or an annoyance. I figured I would stop using it after awhile because I would end up furstrated that I couldn't put more in it. Not once have I missed having more room and I've been able to down size all the junk I was carrying and didn't really need. I certainly think it was worth the money and I want to buy another for the summer.
