With this beanie under my helmet I'm comfortable on the coldest and wettest days. Packs so small I can stuff it in my seat bag. Highly recommended for biking.
But it comes off when I try to wear it running.

In the world of heads, I generally have a pretty normal sized melon, but at times, my Patrick Dempsey hair (only super out of control and not nearly as handsome) can get big and wild. I was hoping that this cap could tame things down a bit, but it isn't snug at all...not even a little bit! It is more like putting on a shower cap than skull cap, and thats too bad.

I bike commute in Seattle. This skull cap fits great underneath my helmet and keeps my bald head warm on cold mornings. I find that even on cold, rainy, windy days it's too warm to wear if I'm climbing hills. That said, it easily fits into any pocket if I need to whip it off at a stoplight. I highly recommend!

I used this under my ski helmet today on a cold and windy day on the slopes. Worked perfectly. Kept my head warm in addition to the helmet and covered my ears and back of my head. Definitely believe this would be worth your while to purchase for this application.

I bought this because I needed something for cold weather to fit under my helmet....and this was on sale, so I went for it! I like it well enough, but I have a feeling that I might be happier with one of the Pearl Izumi skull caps (but, for now, I don't know any better).
This skull cap covers my ears, which was my main concern. Because it's one-size-fits-all, I find it to be somewhat too big for my head, which means that it pulls down right to my eyebrows in the front, all the way down to the base of my neck in the back, and still some space left inside.
It's thin and lightweight and can be tucked away easily. It kept my ears and head warm, which is my main concern.
I would recommend this to someone who wants something basic to keep their head warm and isn't interested in spending a lot of money.
