I purchased this pump for filling a large inflatable canoe rather than using my hand pump.I had low expectations for this pump when I first handled it- it is very lightweight and small, I bought it to hold me over until I purchased something a bit more substantial (at 5 times the price). This unit appears to be some mass produced [*]product that is probably rebadged under 10 different names (like their hand pump).So far the pump has exceeded my expectations.It easily filled all three chambers of my large inflatable canoe and did it quickly. When I finished with the inflation the pump was not even warm and I had left it running the entire time. I was worried that using the cigarette lighter rather than a direct battery connection may have caused problems, but it didn't and the cord didn't get hot.This pump will not fully inflate a large inflatable, you will have to top it off with a hand pump to get it to be firm, but that is standard with all electric inflators and actually keeps you from overinflating (i.e. exploding) your inflatable.One very minor gripe I had was that the cord could have been about 5 feet longer. I used every foot of cord to reach the valves on my large inflatable- but it does work fine as is.Only time will tell if this inflator can hold up to repeated use, but so far so good- it does what I need for it to do and does it well. For the price you can't go wrong.
